Hardman (hamstring) participated in June minicamp, Herbie Teope of The Kansas City Star reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hardman missed a few days of OTAs in late May but was back on the field for mandatory minicamp less than three weeks later. He's one of the main candidates to benefit from Tyreek Hill's departure, along with offseason additions JuJu Smith-Schuster, Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Skyy Moore. He's no Hill, but Hardman does offer some of the same traits, namely speed and elusiveness, and he's only 24 years old heading into the fourth and final season of his rookie contract. The injury won't be noteworthy unless it pops up again during training camp, as Hardman doesn't have any reported history of hamstring issues and has played in each of the Chiefs' 58 games (including playoffs) since they drafted him

Coach Andy Reid said Hardman did not practice Thursday because he "tweaked his hamstring" Wednesday, Pete Sweeney of ArrowheadPride.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Chiefs will likely continue to take a cautious approach to Hardman's recovery, as hamstring injuries can linger when rushed. Both Hardman and rookie second-round pick Skyy Moore are currently sitting out OTAs due to hamstring injuries, leaving opportunities for increased reps behind JuJu Smith-Schuster and Marquez Valdes-Scantling. As he heads into his fourth season with Kansas City, Hardman will have the opportunity to compete for a starting gig once back on the field.

Hardman may be in line for increased touches in 2022, Nate Taylor of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Taylor projects Hardman as one of the starting wideouts for the Chiefs, which finally could result in him getting a chance to unlock his full potential after a couple of mediocre campaigns the last two years following an impressive rookie season. Despite the team trading Tyreek Hill to the Dolphins this offseason, Hardman still has plenty of competition for targets, with Kansas City having added JuJu Smith-Schuster and Marquez Valdes-Scantling via free agency and Skyy Moore (hamstring) in the draft.

Hardman has new competition at the wideout position after the Chiefs signed Marquez Valdes-Scantling to a three-year contract Thursday, Tod Palmer of KSHB 41 Kansas City reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's still a net gain for Hardman in terms of potential for production in 2022 with Valdes-Scantling swapping in for star wideout Tyreek Hill. However, the Chiefs also picked up first and second-round draft picks in the deal that sent Hill to Miami, so there's a relatively strong chance at least one of those picks will be another wideout.

Hardman carried twice for 31 yards and a touchdown and hauled in his lone target for a 26-yard catch-and-run Sunday in the Chiefs' 42-36 overtime win over the Bills in the divisional round.
EDGE Analysis
Hardman's 25-yard scamper for a touchdown with just over two minutes remaining in the first half helped give the Chiefs their largest lead (nine points) of the day, but that advantage would prove short lived in a game where both offenses were trading punches throughout. Perhaps Hardman's more pivotal play came in overtime, when he found himself wide open in the flat and picked up several yards after the catch before running out of bounds at the Bills' eight-yard line. On the Chiefs' very next play, quarterback Patrick Mahomes found tight end Travis Kelce in the end zone to send Kansas City to its fourth consecutive AFC Championship Game.

Hardman recorded eight receptions on 11 targets for 103 yards in Saturday's 28-24 win over Denver. He added one rush for 10 yards.
EDGE Analysis
Tyreek Hill (heel) was hobbled for the majority of the game, so Hardman stepped into the big-play role in the Kansas City offense. His performance was highlighted by gains of 44 and 21 yards, with the former helping secure the win on the final drive of the contest. The end result was his first career game with over 100 receiving yards. Though aided by a 17th game, Hardman also recorded new bests in receptions and yards across his three seasons as a professional.

Hardman caught his only target for a 53-yard gain Sunday against the Bengals.
EDGE Analysis
Hardman saw just 18 offensive snaps in the contest, his third-lowest total of the 2021 season. He did make the most of his one look as a receiver, but his dwindling playing time doesn't bode well for his fantasy prospects moving forward. The third-year wideout hasn't really made the leap many were hoping for and doesn't appear to be headed in a direction toward doing that anytime soon.

Hardman racked up three catches for 31 yards and a touchdown on five targets Sunday versus the Steelers.
EDGE Analysis
After a couple of down weeks in his offensive involvement, Hardman has seen his usage spike again in the last couple of weeks, seeing a combined nine targets. He's also been looked to in the red zone three times in the last pair of weeks, which is a good sign after he went without a look in that area in the two games prior. Even so, Hardman remains off the fantasy radar in most leagues with just 50 catches for 537 yards and a pair of scores on the season.

Hardman reeled in just two passes for 11 yards on four targets Thursday against the Chargers.
EDGE Analysis
Hardman did see his snap percentage jump slightly to 44 on the week after playing just 37 percent of snaps the week prior, though game script likely comes into play in that regard. Hardman did break open in the end zone on what could have been a fourth-down touchdown pass from Patrick Mahomes, but Mahomes' pass fell short, preventing Hardman from reaching pay dirt for just the second time this season. He doesn't seem to have much fantasy value for the moment aside from the hope he can control a larger role in the future.

Hardman snared both of his targets for 59 yards in Sunday's game against the Raiders. He also rushed once for no gain.
EDGE Analysis
Hardman did at least see a slight increase in his usage on offense (37 percent of snaps) compared to the last two games (17 percent each), and the third-year wideout made the most of his pair of looks, making grabs of 44 and 15 yards. If Hardman continues to produce on offense and eventually improves as a blocker, he could become a viable fantasy option again at some point. However, that point isn't the present, and he can be left on waiver wires in most leagues.
