Lance Moore (wrist) was held out of Saints practice Friday.
We'll have another update on Saturday, but at this point Moore seems unlikely to play Monday night against the Dolphins. If Moore is indeed out, rookie Kenny Stills' role would grow, along with veteran Robert Meachem's.

Lance Moore (hand) was held out of Thursday's practice.
It's a concern after Moore missed over half of Sunday's win over the Cardinals. It's possible the Saints are just managing his reps, but Moore should be considered no better than 50-50 for Monday Night Football. His status will be updated Friday.

Trainers were spotted looking at Lance Moore's wrist during Sunday's win over the Cardinals.
Moore played on just 35-of-76 snaps (46.0 percent). He might have been held out of the second half due to the wrist injury and the lopsided score. Regardless, Moore is quickly becoming an afterthought in the Saints passing game. Jimmy Graham, Marques Colston and Darren Sproles hog targets on a weekly basis. Robert Meachem and Kenny Stills are also getting looks.

Lance Moore caught one pass for six yards in Sunday's Week 3 win over the Cardinals.
Moore continues to be an afterthought in the offense. He saw just three targets in this one and now has a mere four catches through three weeks. With Robert Meachem and Kenny Stills both hungry for looks as well, there's just not enough room for Moore.

Lance Moore caught one pass for 15 yards in Sunday's Week 2 win over the Bucs.
Moore saw a little of Darrelle Revis and ended up with just four targets. Coming off a 2/23/0 line from Week 1, there's some room for concern. With Jimmy Graham, Marques Colston and Darren Sproles all healthy, Moore is struggling to be the first read on any plays. He'll be a WR5 type against the Cardinals in Week 3.

Lance Moore caught just two passes for 23 yards in New Orleans' Week 1 win over the Falcons.
So is life in the "streaming Moore as a WR3 fast lane." Moore is capable of huge performances, but they remain hard to predict. He's an excellent WR4, but not someone you want to be relying on weekly.

Drew Brees said there's a lot of things Lance Moore can do "that most guys just can't do."
Moore will be an every-down player in the Saints' efficient and explosive passing game. He also has Brees' trust as the pair have been together for seven seasons. The problem is that he's fourth in line for targets behind Jimmy Graham, Marques Colston and Darren Sproles. Expecting Moore to repeat last year's fluky 65/1041/6 (16.0 YPC) line is wishful thinking. His career YPC coming into last year was 11.4.

Lance Moore caught four passes for 121 yards in the Saints' Week 17 loss to the Panthers.
When Drew Brees averages over 300 yards per game, all his receivers are going to put up numbers -- even if they're not elite talents. Playing in 15 games, Moore recorded 65 catches for 1,041 yards and six touchdowns. But before we get carried away, note that this is Moore's first 1,000-yard season and he came into this season managing just 11.4 yards per catch. This year, he ripped off 16.0 yards per grab. Expect a regression in 2013.

Lance Moore caught four passes for 42 yards and a touchdown in the Saints' Week 15 win over the Bucs.
Moore hauled in all but one of his targets on Sunday afternoon. His score was of the seven-yard variety at the tail end of the first half to put the Saints up by a score of 24-0 heading into the locker room. It was the easiest of easy touchdowns as Moore sat right in the end zone in front of Bucs S Ahmad Black. He'll remain a weekly WR3 as the season winds down. New Orleans travels to Dallas in Week 16.
