Lance Moore tweeted Wednesday that he's agreed to a new five-year deal with the Saints. Drew Brees made it clear that he values Moore highly as an outlet and slot receiver, and the front office predictably responded. Moore is more important to Brees and coach Sean Payton than any other team, so this signing is great news for a player who finished a surprising 27th in fantasy points. He'll be a player to target in PPR leagues this season.

The New Orleans Times-Picayune expects free agent Lance Moore to re-sign with the Saints on a contract worth about $3 million annually. The contract seems low in light of Moore's production, but the reality is Moore is very much a product of the Saints' system. As beat writer Jeff Duncan points out, Moore wouldn't come close to his current stats in an offense like the Browns'. NFL teams are aware of this. Moore has hit restricted free agency before and garnered very little interest at relatively low tenders.
