Williams will start camp on the active/physically unable to perform list after undergoing season-ending knee surgery last season., ESPN's Mike Rodak reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Buffalo defense suffered a significant drop-off in the 10 games Williams missed last season due to various injuries. While he's on the tail end of a fine career, the team could really use his veteran presence and relentlessness to help a young D try to turn things around. Bills GM Doug Whaley feels Williams can be ready for Week 1 with some limited practice time this season. said the team's priority is to get Williams healthy and ready for Week 1.

Williams (knee) will not be participating in OTA practices this week and won't be on the field for mandatory minicamp, BuffaloBills.com reports. "You know I think we're just going to kind of gradually build on every day through OTAs, even into training camp," said Williams. "The main goal circled is making sure we're ready to go in September. How much or how little of training camp? I don't know. I don't think that plan has been totally put together yet. But definitely gearing toward getting ready to play when it matters."
EDGE Analysis
Williams is expected to start at right defensive end as he enters his 11th NFL season. However, his age, unfamiliarity in Rex Ryan's 3-4 defense, and the fact that he'll be coming off a major injury all work in unison to drive down his previously high IDP value. At best, he'd be a healthy, productive member of an improved defense, but probably a guy that gets his play time monitored or subbed out in certain packages.

Williams, about to enter his 11th season, says his surgically repaired knee has healed, BuffaloBills.com reports. "It's going great. I'm getting back into full-fledged working out," Williams told the John Murphy Show. "It was slow going at the beginning. But it's moved along well and now I'm getting ready for a football season now rather than rehabilitation. That's always a good thing."
EDGE Analysis
Even though Williams struggled in Rex Ryan's new defense, the Buffalo defense had a hard time when he went down with an injury. They'll welcome him back as an experienced starter with strong leadership skills - another area where the team missed Williams - but he's far enough along in his career where the Bills may make a high draft choice to boost the defensive line.

Williams (knee) will return to the Bills on a restructured deal, The Buffalo News reports.
EDGE Analysis
A knee injury cost Williams the last 10 games of the season in 2015 and may have cost the Bills a legitimate shot at their first playoff season since 1999. The longest-tenured Bill will turn 33 this summer, but he's still one of the league's better interior linemen when healthy and may be the team's best locker room presence. His ability to adapt to Rex Ryan's defense remains in question, however.

The Bills placed Williams (knee) on injured reserve Tuesday, Mike Rodak of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Williams will miss the season due to a surgical procedure on his knee, so the Bills decided to place him on injured reserve to open up a roster spot, which was filled by fellow defensive tackle T.J. Barnes. It remains to be seen if Williams will play for the Bills again next season, as the team could opt to cut him to save some cap space.

Williams is slated to undergo season-ending left knee surgery, ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Williams, who hasn't played since Oct. 18, has been slow to recover from a meniscus injury and will thus turn to a procedure that should enable him to return to the playing field well in advance of the 2016 season.

Williams (knee) is likely headed for IR.
EDGE Analysis
While such a move has yet to be officially made by the Bills, given that this comes directly from coach Rex Ryan, it seems a likely outcome. In six games this season, Williams has recorded 14 tackles and a sack, modest IDP numbers, but the DT's expected absence moving forward nonetheless represents a big hit to the Bills' overall team D.

Coach Rex Ryan says Williams (knee) has a 50-50 chance to return this season.
EDGE Analysis
Williams is a Pro Bowl player and he's always been worth every bit of those honors, so it'd be a big loss for the defense if he's unable to return this season. Fortunately, the Bills have three other very capable and healthy lineman in Marcell Dareus, Mario Williams, and Jerry Hughes, though it looks like the hope of the foursome being the league's best this season may be fading thanks to Kyle Williams' injury.

Williams (knee) did not participate in Thursday's practice, Chris Brown of Buffalobills.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Head coach Rex Ryan didn't think Williams would be able to play this week against the Patriots, saying on Tuesday he doesn't believe "there's any chance" the defensive tackle will be able to suit up. The 32-year-old has missed the previous three games due to a knee injury.

Williams, who has missed the last three games due to a knee injury, is not looking good for the team's next game against the Patriots, BuffaloBills.com reports. Said coach Rex Ryan on his weekly radio appearance with WGR550, "I don't think he's going to be ready to go this week."
EDGE Analysis
If there was any game on the schedule where Williams would return if he could, it'd be a game against the undefeated Patriots. However, that looks like it won't be the case. Williams is having an awful season compared to his Pro Bowl standards, with just 14 tackles and a sack through six games played.
