Williams (groin) is active for Sunday's matchup with Indianapolis.
EDGE Analysis
Williams only practiced on Friday, and was limited in that session. It's unclear if he'll be limited at all due to his injury, in which case Deandre Coleman and Cedric Thornton could be in line for some extra snaps.

Williams (groin) was a limited participant at Friday's practice and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Colts.
EDGE Analysis
Williams is trending in the right direction heading into the weekend after failing to practice on Wednesday and Thursday. The starting defensive tackle hasn't missed a game all season, though Deandre Coleman and Cedric Thornton could be in line for additional work if Williams is ultimately held out in Week 14.

Williams missed practice for the second straight day Thursday due to a groin injury, Chris Brown of the Bills' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
If anyone can get by with hardly any practice time, it's Williams, who was drafted by the Bills in 2006. But a second straight missed day shows this is something more than just a minor issue or rest day. We'l see if the starting defensive tackle can practice to some degree Friday.

Williams missed Wednesday's practice session due to a groin injury, Chris Brown of the Bills' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
We'll find out Thursday if this was just a minor issue and a maintenance day for a veteran that really doesn't need the practice at this stage of the season, or if it's another item for the Bills to worry about as their injury list continues to grow. Williams picked up sack number 42.5 for his career during Sunday's loss to the Patriots -- his second of the season -- and he now has the most in team history for a defensive tackle.

Williams made four tackles (two solo) and recovered a fumble against the Saints on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
This is the first fumble Williams has recovered since 2013. However, he's still averaging under three tackles per game with just one sack on the season, making it difficult to summon him in most fantasy formats.

Williams saw action on 45 defensive snaps during Sunday's win over Tampa Bay, logging one tackle.
EDGE Analysis
Williams, who's been in the league since 2006, still has a starting role but his numbers aren't what they used to be. Through six games, the veteran has 16 tackles and a sack -- that's not an awful output for an interior lineman, but remember Williams had 64 tackles just a season ago while totaling five sacks. His contributions for a rebuilding organization -- one that's surprised nicely all season -- go far beyond the stat sheet, however, as he's one of the best leaders on the team and fulfills a dirty job in Leslie Frazier's defense where he plugs holes instead of being asked to get to the quarterback. Williams may not be worth owning in IDP leagues any more, but owners of the Buffalo defense owe a good deal of thanks to his efforts.

Williams did not practice Wednesday as he was given a planned rest day, Chris Brown of the Bills' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran will almost certainly be back at it Thursday. Williams has been his usual productive self this season considering he's been in the league since 2006 and that the Bills have become frequent shufflers of their defensive line personnel. He's logged 12 tackles and a sack through three games.

Williams (personal) doesn't appear on the injury report ahead of Week 1.
EDGE Analysis
Williams missed practice time last week due to personal reasons, but there shouldn't be any concern over his Week 1 availability now that he's back in the fold with no injuries of note.

Williams missed his second straight practice Tuesday, with coach Sean McDermott citing "personal reasons," Vic Carucci of The Buffalo News reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's very well possible Williams had a family issue he needs to tend to, but with all the chaos surrounding the team these days and Williams previously needing to be coaxed back for a 12th NFL season, it seems fair to wonder if he's taking some time to reconsider his future. We'll feel more certain it's the former if Williams returns Wednesday or the team cites a more specific reason.

Bills coach Sean McDermott announced that Williams would return to the team in 2017, ESPN.com's Mike Rodak reports.
EDGE Analysis
There was some thought that Williams, who will turn 34 in June, could opt for retirement this summer, but after turning in another productive campaign in 2016, the Bills' long-time run stuffer will be back for another season. Williams will carry a hefty $8.3 million cap hit in 2017, but after he churned out 64 tackles and five sacks in 15 games while playing through injury a season ago, it's a price the Bills are likely willing to pay.
