Speaking Tuesday, Vikings coach Leslie Frazier confirmed Kyle Rudolph (broken foot) will be sidelined 4-6 weeks.
It means the earliest Rudolph is likely to return is Week 14 against the Ravens, and that he could end up on injured reserve. Out at least a month in one of the league's worst offenses, Rudolph can be safely dropped in re-draft leagues. John Carlson is taking over as the Vikings' No. 1 tight end.

Kyle Rudolph has been diagnosed with a broken foot, and could be sidelined "as much as a month."
The "as much as a month" comes from coach Leslie Frazier, who also said the Vikings aren't sure of Rudolph's exact timetable. With the Vikings' season in the tank, it's quite possible Rudolph will eventually end up on injured reserve. It leaves John Carlson as the starting tight end. Considering how inconsistent the far-more talented Rudolph has been in the Vikings' scattershot offense, Carlson will likely struggle for TE2 value.

X-rays on Kyle Rudolph's foot were negative.
This doesn't mean Rudolph is out of the woods, but it does mean he's avoided a fracture. In a best-case scenario, he has a minor sprain. Rudolph is headed for more testing -- likely an MRI -- on Monday. With the Vikings on a short week, we'd consider him highly questionable to face the Redskins.

Kyle Rudolph was forced from Sunday's Week 9 game against the Cowboys with a left foot injury.
Rudolph caught a 31-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter, breaking three tackles on his way to the end zone. At the tail end of the play, his left foot/ankle got rolled up underneath a Cowboys defender. Rudolph is officially questionable to return. He had two catches for 35 yards and the score before leaving.

Kyle Rudolph had a team-high four catches for 51 yards in the Sunday night's Week 8 loss to the Packers.
Rudolph was constantly targeted on check downs by Christian Ponder and benefitted from his inability to throw downfield. He remains nothing more than a touchdown-dependent TE2 and has little impact other than as a red-zone threat.

Kyle Rudolph was held to just two catches for six yards in Sunday's Week 4 win over Pittsburgh.
Rudolph was only targeted twice in the passing game and continues to be used strictly as a red-zone specialist. He has yet to clear 42 yards in any game this season and is on track for just 48 receptions and four touchdowns.

Kyle Rudolph caught five passes for 28 yards in Sunday's Week 3 loss to Cleveland.
Rudolph was targeted eight times, but failed to go over 50 receiving yards for the third straight game. He struggled to pick up anything after the catch and did most of his damage during the Vikings' final drive. Rudolph is a borderline TE1 with strong touchdown upside in fantasy leagues.

Kyle Rudolph caught three passes for 42 yards and a touchdown in Minnesota's Week 2 loss to the Bears.
A classic Rudolph stat-line, who could have stuck fantasy owners with another single-digit week if not for his second-quarter score. Rudolph's red-zone beastliness makes him worth a weekly dice roll if you're thin at tight end, but his upside isn't as high as his talent would suggest because of the Vikings' inconsistent offense.
