Juszczyk was able to walk off the field with some assistance from the training staff but then was spotted on a cart heading to the locker room shortly after. A fundamental piece to the 49ers' run game, the Pro Bowler is the only fullback on the roster. Should he miss an extended period of time, there's a good chance the 49ers hit the free agent market in search of a replacement.

Juszczyk caught all three of his targets for 51 yards in Sunday's 24-20 win over the Steelers.

Juszczyk received his first notable offensive action of the season, making a game-high 27-yard reception on a wheel route out of the backfield. The versatile fullback has reached the 30-catch and 300-yard receiving plateau for each of his last two seasons with San Francisco, so the occasional big showing in a box score should be expected. Juice is rarely used as a runner, and simply doesn't get enough consistent looks to be relied upon as a fullback in the fantasy world.

The plays were Juszczyk's first touches of the season. Head coach Kyle Shanahan likes to use his fullback more than most coaches, and despite playing a low-priority position, Juszczyk has still managed to top 300 total yards three out of the past four seasons to go along with six total touchdowns. That's probably not enough to depend on on any given week, but don't be surprised if Juszczyk has some decent fantasy outings this season. Next up Sunday is a struggling Pittsburgh team looking to avoid a 0-3 start.

Juszczyk's X-ray on his injured hand came back negative Sunday, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

EDGE Analysis

Juszczyk suffered the hand injury during Saturday's win against the Chiefs but appears to be fine. Heading into the final preseason game, it's likely that the team won't risk further injury and hold the veteran out. Considering all tests checked out on his hand, Juszczyk shouldn't have a problem taking on his typical hefty role in the 49ers offense come Week 1.

The 49ers exercised Juszczyk's contract option for 2019, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM Radio reports.

Juszczyk will receive $4.2 million for the 2019 season after catching 30 passes for 324 yards and one touchdown last season. The 27-year-old also rushed eight times for 30 yards, with mostly of his involvement in the run game coming as a blocker.

Juszczyk ran the ball twice for nine yards and caught one of two targets for 15 yards in Sunday's 48-32 loss to the Rams.

EDGE Analysis

Juszczyk did lose a fumble trying to extend the ball for a first down, but that blemish probably didn't affect anyone in fantasy unless they play in fullback leagues. All jokes aside, the 27-year-old was actually pushing very deep-league value early in the year for his receiving contributions (17 receptions, 227 yards and a touchdown through first five games). That came to a screeching halt when the 49ers' opted to use Juice's blocking skills to help protect their young, inexperienced backups as opposed to sending him out on receiving routes. Despite the offensive drought at the end of the season, Juszczyk will still finish ahead of all fullbacks for the second straight year with 30 receptions and 324 receiving yards.

Juszczyk brought in his lone target for three yards in Sunday's 26-23 win over Seattle.

EDGE Analysis

Juszczyk returned to a season-low one target after seeing six over his previous two contests. It has become apparent that head coach Kyle Shanahan doesn't view his fullback as an offensive option with Nick Mullens under center, preferring to use his blocking skills as opposed to a weapon out of the backfield. Juszczyk would need a heavy target share to generate value at an unfavorable fantasy position, and that simply isn't the case in the team's current scheme.

Juszczyk caught all three of his targets for 20 yards in Sunday's 43-16 loss to the Seahawks.

EDGE Analysis

Juszczyk did not record a touch in last week's loss to Tampa Bay, so Sunday's showing was a step in the right direction. Still, the 27-year-old hasn't posted a noteworthy performance since accruing 87 yards back in Week 5, and his status as a fullback sours any potential as a PPR option for Sunday's matchup with the Broncos.

Juszczyk did not receive a touch in Sunday's 27-9 loss to Tampa Bay.

EDGE Analysis

Juszczyk was a regular part of the passing game earlier this season (23 catches for 265 yards and a touchdown), but he has seen his role diminish in the three games Nick Mullens has started at quarterback (just six touches over that span). With his new quarterback favoring other passing options, Juice's fantasy value has been drained completely.

Juszczyk had a three-yard carry and added 10 yards on two catches during Monday's 27-23 loss to the Giants.

EDGE Analysis

It has now been four straight weeks without at least 15 total yards for Juszczyk. Juszczyk was performing beyond that of the average fullback to start the season with a few long receptions and even a touchdown in Week 3. Those times appear to be over for a banged-up 49ers offense. Following the bye, the 49ers get a bottom-five pass defense in Tampa Bay, but Juszczyk hasn't been targeted enough lately for him to be counted on to exploit the favorable matchup.
