Juszczyk (concussion) has been cleared for activity but not contact as of Wednesday, Matt Barrows of The Sacramento Bee reports.
EDGE Analysis
Juszczyk is progressing through the concussion protocol, but until he's cleared for more than mere football activities, he won't be active on game day. With a divisional matchup against the Cardinals on tap Sunday, his presence will be key against the NFL's 10th-ranked run defense through three contests.

Juszczyk suffered a concussion during Thursday's loss to the Rams, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
EDGE Analysis
Juszczyk has been paving the way for Carlos Hyde this season, limiting him to one carry and three receptions (on five targets) to date. With a concussion in tow, there's no telling when he'll complete the league's rigorous protocol. Fortunately, the 49ers don't play against until Oct. 1, but if his status begins to wane, the team may add another fullback to the mix next week.

Juszczyk has been ruled out of the remainder of of Thursday's contest against the Rams due to a neck injury.
EDGE Analysis
The 49ers have suffered several injuries on both sides of the ball Thursday. With no other fullbacks on the roster, the 49ers may opt to stick either Garrett Celek or Logan Paulsen at fullback for the remainder of the contest. Look for more updates on Juszczyk to come Friday morning.

Jusczyk (shoulder) brought in his only target for 16 yards in Sunday's 32-31 preseason loss to the Vikings.
EDGE Analysis
Jusczyk had been limited by a shoulder injury this past week, but he shook off the ailment to log one reception for the second straight exhibition. The versatile asset will open the season as a the starting fullback, but he's also taken reps at tight end during training camp and logged 97 receptions over his last three seasons in Baltimore. Juszczyk's touches will likely be difficult to predict week-to-week, but given head coach Kyle Shanahan's well-earned reputation as a creative offensive mind, he could catch quite a few defenses off guard with use of the fifth-year pro this coming season.

Juszczyk (shoulder) was wearing a no-contact jersey at Wednesday's practice, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
EDGE Analysis
It doesn't sound like Juszcyzyk is dealing with anything serious, but he could be limited in practice the next few days. Second-string fullback Tyler McCloskey will likely roll with the starters until he returns.

Juszczyk has done well while getting work at tight end during training camp, Mindi Bach reports.
EDGE Analysis
Juszczyk became the league's highest-paid fullback upon signing with San Francisco this offseason, so it's no wonder that the creative Kyle Shanahan is looking to take advantage of his versatility. Compared to his days with the Ravens, which saw Juszczyk catch at least 37 passes in back-to-back seasons, the 26-year-old has switched between his usual backfield post and lining up at tight end more often with the 49ers. In fact, Juszczyk reportedly often arrives early to practice to get extra work with the team's position coach. News that Juszczyk is learning more and more tight end obviously bodes well for his fantasy value, as his multidimensional skill set could keep him on the field more frequently.

The 49ers and Juszczyk officially agreed to terms on a four-year contract Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
San Francisco is completely revamping the offense under new head coach Kyle Shanahan, adding Juszczyk to a haul that includes quarterback Brian Hoyer and wide receivers Pierre Garcon and Marquise Goodwin in the initial hours of free agency. Juszczyk himself boasts a varied skill set, earning 55.4 percent of his offensive snaps running pass routes, 22.6 percent as a run blocker, and 20.9 percent in pass protection with the Ravens last season, per Louie Benjamin of Pro Football Focus. Notably, Juszczyk tallied 41 and 37 catches the last two seasons, so he could again establish some PPR relevance with his new squad.

Juszczyk plans to sign with the 49ers, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.
EDGE Analysis
As expected, Juszczyk and the 49ers are closing in on a deal that likely will place him among the NFL's highest paid fullbacks, if not at the very top. He had 41 and 37 receptions the past two seasons, serving as Baltimore's primary lead blocker while also getting some work as a passing-down back. The 49ers could have an even larger role in mind for Juszczyk under new head coach Kyle Shanahan.

Juszczyk is one of the 49ers' top priorities heading into the free agent period, Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 49ers have plenty of cap room and Juszczyk is one of the NFL's top fullbacks, offering an impressive combination of blocking and receiving skills. The 2013 fourth-round draft pick caught 41 and 37 passes the past two seasons, getting some snaps as a passing-down back while also serving as the Ravens' primary lead blocker. It appears the cap-strapped Ravens will lose at least a few key contributors in the opening days of free agency.

Juszczyk caught 37 of 49 targets for 266 yards and added five carries for 22 yards and a touchdown in 2016.
EDGE Analysis
Juszczyk's strong showing as a blocker and as a pass catcher earned him his first-career Pro Bowl nod in 2016. He was also named First Team All-Pro according to Pro Football Focus, grading out as the league's top fullback. Juszczyk was a fixture in the Ravens offense as his 463 snaps were more than either Terrance West or Kenneth Dixon. It is worth noting, however, that Baltimore uses sets with fullbacks more than most NFL teams, which will certainly shape his market value this spring when he officially becomes a free agent. If Juszczyk does re-sign with the Ravens, he'll likely have some upside in deep PPR formats, but his lack of carries puts a cap on his touchdown upside.
