Owner Shad Khan stated at the Super Bowl Friday that he would "absolutely" like suspended WR Justin Blackmon back with the Jaguars in 2014. Blackmon is eligible for reinstatement before next season, though the date on which he can file is unknown. He's a recommended Dynasty target, coming with obvious risk that should make Blackmon more affordable via trade. Blackmon just turned 24, and the Jaguars obviously still envision him as a part of their future. They're also going to be upgrading at quarterback very soon.

According to Jaguars.com, the team is "moving forward treating (Justin) Blackmon as a luxury." Blackmon was hit with an indefinite suspension on November 1. The latest ban is believed to be for a failed drug test, on the heels of Blackmon's four-game substance abuse suspension to open last season. Per the Jags' website, Blackmon is expected to be able to apply for reinstatement "before next season," but the "exact date ... is likely to be an area of mystery for a while." The Jaguars are viewing anything Blackmon gives them in the future a bonus.

The specifics of Blackmon's violation have yet to be revealed, but he is done for the 2013 season and is now a repeat offender of the league's substance abuse policy. The Jags could easily throw in the towel on Blackmon, although talent usually comes first for NFL team decision makers.

Blackmon's catches were largely of the chain-moving variety, and he cost himself a chance at a much bigger game by dropping a seam pass that almost certainly would've gone for a 26-yard touchdown.
