Gordon (knee) was limited at practice Wednesday, Zack Cox of NESN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Fellow starting wide receiver Julian Edelman (chest) was also limited, with Gordon a newcomer to the team's injury report. In Week 4's 16-10 win over the Bills, Gordon was on the field for 89 percent of the Patriots' snaps on offense, en route to catching caught three of his seven targets for 46 yards. Assuming his knee issue isn't a major concern, Gordon could be in for an uptick in production this weekend, with a favorable matchup versus Washington looming.

Gordon caught three of seven targets for 46 yards in Sunday's 16-10 win over the Bills.
EDGE Analysis
Gordon had trouble creating separation for most of the night, but he got free for a 31-yard gain to set up a third-quarter field goal. The catch appeared to be aided by a teammate tripping Gordon's defender, but the play was upheld after Buffalo's challenge for pass interference came up empty. After New England's entire offense struggled in this one, the big-bodied wideout should bounce back in Week 5 against a Redskins team that's allowing 29.5 points per game.

Gordon caught six of 11 targets for 83 yards and added a one-yard rush in Sunday's 30-14 win over the Jets.
EDGE Analysis
Gordon hurt his hand blocking at one point, but he got his fingers taped up on the sideline and was able to return on the next possession. He showed off his excellent ball skills throughout the game and led the team in targets and receiving yards. Fellow wide receiver Julian Edelman left the game with a chest injury, and any further missed time from Edelman would make Gordon the clear-cut top wide receiver in New England since the team released Antonio Brown prior to this game.

Gordon finds himself on a thinner depth chart after the Patriots cut Antonio Brown on Friday, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
New England now goes back to its Week 1 alignment with Gordon joined by Julian Edelman and Phillip Dorsett in three-wide formations. The team still has plenty of options, but there's no doubt Gordon has a higher ceiling without Brown competing for snaps and targets. A Sunday matchup with the injury-plagued Jets defense looks favorable for all members of the Patriots.

Gordon corralled two of his five targets for 19 yards Sunday in the Patriots' 43-0 win over the Dolphins.
EDGE Analysis
Gordon actually earned a higher snap share (79 percent) than he received in the season-opening win over the Steelers (67 percent), but there wasn't an abundance of volume to go around with New England rushing 35 times against 28 pass attempts. Additionally, quarterback Tom Brady prioritized getting new acquisition Antonio Brown involved early and often, with the seven-time Pro Bowler pacing the Patriots in targets (eight) and receiving yardage (56). Brown's arrival may make Gordon's floor less stable from game to game, but the latter is still capable of spiking with a big line in any given week thanks to the deep-ball threat he presents.

Gordon caught three of four targets for 73 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 33-3 win over Pittsburgh.
EDGE Analysis
Gordon's 20-yard catch and score was rather impressive, as the speedy wideout shook two defenders and proceeded to jet in between three more en route to the endzone. The 28-year-old's final line was solid, but the four targets are a little concerning. Tom Brady seemed to favor dinking and dunking to Julian Edelman and James White (18 combined targets) rather than hitting up his deep threat options (eight targets between Gordon and Phillip Dorsett). It will be interesting to see how the target shares divvy up once Antonio Brown officially joins the team this upcoming week. For now, Gordon feels like a flex option if his target share doesn't increase.

Gordon will have competition in the form of new teammate Antonio Brown, who signed with the Patriots on Saturday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Brown won't be eligible to play Week 1 considering he didn't sign with the team before the 4 p.m EDT Saturday deadline, but it's fair to question what type of role Gordon will have once the star receiver officially takes the field. It's possible Brown will simply move to the outside, thus allowing Julian Edelman to command his usual attention in the slot while Gordon splits out wide. However neither Brown or Edelman are known for their field-stretching speed, something the Patriots woefully lack despite their vast assortment of weapons which should give the 28-year-old at least a safe floor in terms of offensive snaps per game. Brown will likely cut into Gordon's projected red-zone influence, particularly considering the 5-foot-10 wideout managed to lead the league in touchdown receptions (15) last season with the Steelers, but the loss of Rob Gronkowski (retirement) opens the door for multiple Patriots to succeed near the end zone. It might take a number of weeks to truly realize Brown's role on the offense, but Gordon certainly will have his place so long as he's on the field.

With rookie N'Keal Harry (ankle) on IR to start the season, the Patriots' receiving corps is headed by Julian Edelman and Gordon, followed by Demaryius Thomas, Phillip Dorsett and Jakobi Meyers, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Thomas had been let go during roster cut-downs, but he re-joined the team Monday, a move made in tandem with Harry's placement on IR. Now fully reinstated, Gordon has an opportunity to play a big role in the Patriots offense out of the gate. The 28-year-old's on-field ability has never been in question, so strong production is plausible. The only caveat here is that the talented, but often-suspended wideout must stay away from further NFL discipline as the 2019 season rolls along.

With Demaryius Thomas having been let go by the Patriots, the team's top wideouts for now are Julian Edelman, Gordon, Phillip Dorsett and N'Keal Harry.
EDGE Analysis
Per ESPN's Mike Reiss, the Patriots could bring Thomas back, but with Gordon having been reinstated from his suspension and subsequently having played in the team's preseason finale, he's now in line to play in Week 1. How heavily hell be used remains to be seen, but Gordon has the ability to make an impact even without a ton of volume, so he's already worked his way back on to the early-season fantasy radar.

Gordon caught two of six targets for 30 yards in Thursday's 31-29 loss to the Giants in the preseason finale.
EDGE Analysis
Gordon and Demaryius Thomas both played the first five drives to shake off the cobwebs, with the latter making a significantly greater impact (seven catches for 87 yards and two touchdowns). Both Gordon and Thomas should work in a rotation on the outside, with Phillip Dorsett and rookie N'Keal Harry (leg) also jostling for playing time while Julian Edelman holds down a role in the slot. Conventional wisdom has Gordon as the team's top outside option, though Thomas' performance in this one could cast some doubt on that theory.
