James did not see a pass come his way in Pittsburgh's 29-14 win over the Bengals.
EDGE Analysis
It seemed like Big Ben might have finally found his go-to tight end early in the season as James opened the season with six catches and two touchdowns. He hasn't scored since and hasn't been targeted in the past two weeks. Early-season acquisition Vance McDonald, meanwhile, has five targets in the past two weeks. James saw more time on the field than McDonald on Sunday, 50 offensive snaps to 29, but the two appear to be on divergent paths.

James did not record a catch in Sunday's 19-13 win over the Chiefs.
EDGE Analysis
Ben Roethlisberger threw just 25 passes, and the only target to James was erased by a penalty. He remains touchdown dependent, and faces a Cincinnati defense in Week 7 that has allowed opposing tight ends to reach pay dirt just once this season.

James totaled 24 yards on three catches in Pittsburgh's 30-9 loss to Jacksonville.
EDGE Analysis
Trailing most of the game resulted in Ben Roethlisberger throwing 54 times, but only five of those passes were directed at James. Big Ben completed more passes to Jacksonville defenders than he did James, who next faces a tough Chiefs defense that has limited opposing tight ends to under four receptions per game without reaching the end zone.

James (shoulder) was a full participant in Thursday's practice.
EDGE Analysis
James' shoulder issue limited him during the Steelers' first practice of the week, but his upgrade to a full participation Thursday puts him on track to suit up in Sunday's game against the Jaguars. The tight end was a popular waiver-wire pickup after amassing six catches for 41 yards and two touchdowns in Week 1, but in the subsequent three contests, James has managed a combined nine receptions for 86 and no scores.

James (shoulder) was limited at practice Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Following a two-TD effort in Week 1, James' production has been relatively modest, including a three-catch, 40-yard outing in Week 4 against the Ravens. James is thus a fantasy dart in advance of Sunday's home game against the Jaguars.

James caught three passes for 40 yards in Sunday's 26-9 win against the Ravens.
EDGE Analysis
Since his six catch, two touchdown performance in Week 1, James has averaged three receptions per game and failed to reach pay dirt. While he clearly has distanced himself between himself from fellow tight ends Vance McDonald and Xavier Grimble, his hit-or-miss production makes him little more than a back-up for fantasy purposes.

James (shoulder) was removed from the Steelers' Week 4 injury report after practicing in full Friday.
EDGE Analysis
James remains ahead of Vance McDonald and Xavier Grimble in the Steelers' TE pecking order, but after a two-TD effort in Week 1, his production has cooled, as he's combined for six catches for 46 yards in the team's two games since then.

James (shoulder) was a limited participant at Wednesday's practice, Joe Rutter of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports.
EDGE Analysis
James suffered the injury during the first half of Sunday's 23-17 loss to the Bears, but he returned to the contest and ended up playing 72 percent of the offensive snaps. That was still a significant drop off from his snap shares in Week 1 (90 percent) and Week 2 (96 percent), and his production took a corresponding dive to just two catches for 29 yards on four targets. James does seem to be on track for Sunday's game in Baltimore, where he'll likely continue to work ahead of Vance McDonald and Xavier Grimble. The Steelers still haven't integrated McDonald into the passing game in a meaningful way.

James caught 2-of-4 passes for 19 yards in Pittsburgh's 23-17 overtime loss to Chicago on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
James briefly left the game with a shoulder injury, but returned after missing only a few snaps. He has a favorable Week 4 matchup against Baltimore, which has allowed opposing tight ends to score four touchdowns in their past two games.

James (shoulder) returned to Sunday's game against the Bears, Missi Matthews of Steelers.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
James was able to return after missing a portion of Sunday's tilt due to a shoulder injury, which he sustained during the first half. The issue appears to have been minor and he'll continue to serve as the Steelers' No. 1 tight end with Vance McDonald and Xavier Grimble providing depth.
