Gresham tallied two receptions (on four targets) for 15 yards during Sunday's tie with the Seahawks.
EDGE Analysis
Gresham again dominated the snaps afforded Cardinals tight ends in Week 7, receiving 82 of the 95 on offense versus Ifeanyi Momah's nine, Darren Fells' eight, and Hakeem Valles' three. Unfortunately for Gresham, the usage didn't translate to the box score, and Momah made both of his catches count, racking up 50 yards total. If the preceding breakdown of snaps holds, though, Gresham is the best bet to post a relevant line due to the untenable nature of that trio's respective workloads.

Gresham recorded one reception (on two targets) for 14 yards in Monday's win against the Jets.
EDGE Analysis
For the second game in a row, Gresham was able to gobble up a plurality of TE snaps in the Cardinals' offense, following up 57 of 68 snaps in Week 5 with 73 of 77 on Monday. Of course, he experienced an uptick in the first outing due to Darren Fells' bout with a stinger, but the latter was back in the fold this week. While he started opposite Gresham, Fells received 31 offensive snaps Monday, indicating he's still less than 100 percent. No matter who garners more reps on a weekly basis, Arizona's tight ends are mostly contained to blocking duties, which will keep both Gresham and Fells on the vast majority of fantasy waiver wires.

Gresham garnered 57 of the Cardinals' 68 snaps in Thursday's victory at San Francisco, yet he caught his only pass for four yards.
EDGE Analysis
The Cardinals kicked off the season spreading the wealth at tight end among Gresham, Darren Fells (stinger), and Troy Niklas (wrist), but injuries to the last two have forced head coach Bruce Arians to rely on the veteran of the group. Indeed, with Niklas on injured reserve and Fells inactive in Week 5, Hakeem Valles (26) and Ifeanyi Momah (two) combined to log less than half of Gresham's snap count. Such a breakdown of snaps will likely reign until Fells is healthy enough to take the field.

Gresham notched four receptions (on as many targets) for 41 yards in Sunday's loss to the Patriots.
EDGE Analysis
After a season in the Cardinals' system and even further removed from back surgery in the aftermath of the 2014 season, Gresham may be resembling the tight end that posted at least 400 receiving yards in each of his five years with the Bengals. Hurting his cause, though, is the breakdown of snaps in the TE corps. While Darren Fells led the way with 23 (of 61 snaps) in Week 1, Gresham was right behind him with 22, and Troy Niklas also scooped up 20. If head coach Bruce Arians continues to be equitable with the trio's snaps, Gresham is an unlikely candidate to hit on a weekly basis.

Gresham hauled in one of two targets for 10 yards during Sunday's preseason defeat at Houston.
EDGE Analysis
After missing much of training camp due to discomfort in both his hamstring and back, Gresham has taken the field in the Cardinals' last two exhibitions. His standing behind Darren Fells remains clear, though, as all three preseason targets have arrived via backup Drew Stanton's right arm. The days of an intriguing Gresham are in the rearview mirror, especially after surgery in March of 2015 to repair a herniated disk.

Gresham (back) returned to practice Tuesday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gresham has missed time in training camp with both a sore hamstring and tight back, which has seemingly allowed the oft-injured but now healthy Troy Niklas to surpass the veteran on the depth chart. It's unclear how much activity Gresham fit in Tuesday, but an appearance in Friday's preseason game at San Diego would clear up his own health.

Gresham is tending to back tightness, Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gresham was second in the TE pecking order on the Cardinals' most recent unofficial depth chart, but injuries at various stages of training camp appear to be taking their toll. As evidence, Troy Niklas was expected to work with the first-team offense, whose two-TE alignment will also feature Darren Fells. Weeks remain for Gresham to regain his previous standing, but he may have to brush of the ailments in order to do so.

Gresham will miss his second consecutive practice Sunday due to a sore hamstring, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Head coach Bruce Arians relayed Saturday that an MRI on Gresham's hamstring was in store, but just one day later the head honcho said the tight end will "probably" be absent "two more days" before attempting a return to practice. As a result, the discomfort in Gresham's hamstring appears to be minor, and first-team reps should be in his imminent future.

The Cardinals and Gresham agreed to a contract Sunday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gresham underwent back surgery last offseason and didn't find a home until a few days before the Cardinals kicked off training camp. Due to his conditioning at the time, he didn't pick up any snaps in the preseason, yet he was ready for Week 1. Missing one game due to a knee injury, he otherwise recorded a catch in all but four regular season contests and finished with an 18-223-1 line on 32 targets. The presence of Darren Fells will likely relegate Gresham to a reserve role in 2016, depending on any moves made within the TE group as the offseason progresses.

Gresham totaled 18 receptions (on 32 targets) for 223 yards and one touchdown in 15 games during the 2015 campaign.
EDGE Analysis
On the surface, the signing of Gresham at the outset of training camp appeared to be a perfect match due to the Cardinals' need at tight end and his previous relationship with Carson Palmer in Cincinnati. Gresham's initial practice was delayed, though, due to offseason surgery to repair a herniated disc, and multiple injuries served to quell his snap count, resulting in just 54 percent of the offensive snaps. The preceding allowed Darren Fells to lead the way at the position in every category but targets, which may be enough to allow Gresham to walk as an unrestricted free agent in the offseason.
