Jermaine Gresham caught five passes for 46 yards against the Texans in the Wild Card round of the playoffs. Gresham's six targets were tied for third-most on the team. Though he showed tangible improvement late in the season, specifically as a route runner, Gresham has yet to show difference-making talent in two seasons. We expect the evolution to continue in 2012 after a 56/596/6 line this year, but the career 9.9 yards per reception is less than encouraging.

Jermaine Gresham caught five passes for a team-high 72 yards in the Bengals' Week 17 loss to Baltimore. He secured all five of his targets. Quietly, Gresham has developed into one of the NFL's better all-around tight ends, although his numbers don't quite show it. He ends the regular season with 596 yards and six touchdowns on 56 catches. The Bengals play the Texans in the first round of the playoffs.

Pete Prisco of CBSSports.com calls Bengals TE Jermaine Gresham one of the most improved players in the NFL over the second half of the season. Per Prisco, the book on Gresham last year and early this season was that he missed assignments and ran sloppy routes. He's now more comfortable in Jay Gruden's offense. NFL Network's Michael Lombardi nominated Gresham and the Titans' Jared Cook as two tight ends who could graduate to Pro Bowl caliber in 2012.

Jermaine Gresham caught three passes for 45 yards against the Texans in Week 14. Gresham had a 26-yard gain in the second quarter, but was shut down the rest of the way on a team-high tying seven targets. Up to 43 receptions and 452 yards, Gresham is just a TE2 option in Week 15 against a Rams defense that defends tight ends as well as any defense in the league.

Jermaine Gresham caught three passes for 37 yards against the Steelers in Week 13. His seven targets were second only to A.J. Green's 11. Gresham had a 4-yard touchdown nullified by a subtle false start from Green. He's on pace for 53 receptions, 543 yards, and 7 TDs heading into Week 14 versus the Texans.

Jermaine Gresham caught five passes for 68 yards with a touchdown in Sunday's win over the Browns. With Joe Haden shadowing A.J. Green, Gresham was featured in the passing game today. He led the team with nine targets, often working over Browns rookie safety Eric Hagg. Gresham's touchdown came on a true one-on-one fade pattern in which he simply went up and over Hagg for a 22-yard touchdown. Gresham will be a strong TE2 play against the Steelers next week.

Jermaine Gresham caught three passes for 48 yards in Sunday's loss to the Ravens. Gresham would have had a nine-yard touchdown late in the fourth quarter, but had an unbelievable circus catch negated by the infamous "Calvin Johnson rule." The call may have cost the Bengals a shot at overtime, and prevented Gresham from finding the end zone for the fourth time in five games. As it is, he's now averaging four catches for 37.8 yards. He's a high-end TE2.

Jermaine Gresham caught four passes for 23 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's loss to the Steelers. Active for the first time since Week 6, Gresham made a nice grab on a third-quarter fade for his fourth touchdown of the season. He's failed to haul in fewer than four catches just once in seven games, and is averaging a respectable 36.3 yards. He should be a solid TE2 down the stretch.

Bengals TE Jermaine Gresham (hamstring) and MLB Rey Maualuga (ankle) are both active against the Steelers in Week 10.

Jermaine Gresham (questionable, hamstring) returned to Bengals practice on Friday. Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer, who's had a good handle on the Gresham hamstring situation for the past few weeks, predicts that Gresham will play Sunday against the Steelers. We think he will be active, but may not be at 100 percent and could get stuck on the line trying to help block James Harrison.
