Jermaine Gresham caught three passes for 19 yards in the Bengals' Week 7 loss to the Steelers. Gresham's big gain of 14 came on a broken play with Andy Dalton under heavy duress. Dalton flipped the ball to Gresham as he was going down to the ground, and Gresham bolted up field for a gain of 14. His other two receptions totaled five yards. Gresham does almost all of his receiving work around the line of scrimmage. He's just a TE2 in fantasy leagues.

Gresham flashed uncommon YAC ability in the first quarter when he took a quick slant from Andy Dalton, threw a stiff arm and went 55 yards to the house. His previous career-long catch was 31 yards. It was an eye-opening play for the 2010 first-round pick's athletic ability. Gresham, now averaging 4.1 catches for 51.0 yards through six weeks, will be a high-end TE2 against the Steelers next week.

The tight end is going to see his fair share of targets, but he offers so little after the catch that he's not going to have many big games. It was a standard day for Gresham. The Bengals go to Cleveland in Week 6, and Gresham had four catches for 37 yards against them in Week 2.

Jermaine Gresham caught five passes for 47 yards in Week 4 against the Jaguars. Gresham was targeted six times, drawing a pass interference in the endzone on the one he didn't reel in. He's an obvious red zone threat, but will cede opportunities to A.J. Green in that area, too. Gresham, a TE2, is on pace to snag 68 passes for 712 yards and four touchdowns.

Jermaine Gresham caught five passes for 64 yards and a touchdown in the Bengals' Week 3 win over the Redskins. Gresham continues to function as the No. 2 option in the passing game for Andy Dalton. His seven targets were second to A.J. Green and he's up to 12 catches for 131 yards on the season. The problem is that Gresham doesn't offer much after the catch and his routes rarely push the seam. He's still a TE2 against the Jaguars next week.

Jermaine Gresham led the Bengals with 11 catches for 126 yards and two touchdowns in two games against the Browns in 2011. "You've got to be prepared for his speed and the different things they do with him," Browns strong safety T.J. Ward said Friday in regards to Gresham. The tight end saw eight targets in Week 1 but only managed to reel in three of them for 30 yards, while also running a wrong route that led to an Andy Dalton interception. Gresham isn't a top-notch fantasy tight end by any means, but the stats show he deserves some consideration for your starting lineup when playing Cleveland.

Jermaine Gresham ran the wrong route on Ravens S Ed Reed's Week 1 pick-six. Gresham's physical skills have never been in doubt, but sloppy routes and missed assignments have held him back in the Bengals offense. We're far from convinced that he will graduate to reliable low-end TE1 status in his third season.

With the Bengals playing on Monday Night Football, today was their first official practice. Gresham is expected to suit up regardless of his practice participation, but it's a great sign he was able to get in a full session. There will be no reason to worry if he's listed as questionable on Saturday's injury report.
