Moody (ankle) was a limited participant during Wednesday's practice, Matt Barrows of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Moody suffered a high-ankle sprain during the 49ers' Week 5 loss to the Cardinals, which caused him to miss the last three regular-season games. With the 49ers coming out of a Week 9 bye, Moody was able to return to practice Wednesday, albeit in a limited capacity. If he's able to log a full practice session this week, that bodes well for his chances of returning for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers. Across five regular-season games, Moody has gone 13-for-14 on field-goal attempts and has converted on all 12 of his extra-point tries.

Coach Kyle Shanahan said Monday that Moody (ankle) won't play in next Sunday's game against the Cowboys, Cam Inman of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 49ers have a Week 9 bye, so Moody will get another two weeks to heal. Anders Carlson will again kick for San Francisco after he made both of his field-goal attempts (from 55 and 24 yards) against Kansas City. Carlson, however, missed his one extra-point try.

Moody (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Chiefs.
EDGE Analysis
Moody sustained a right high-ankle sprain Week 5 against the Cardinals, and coach Kyle Shanahan said afterward that the kicker would require roughly a month to recover from the injury. Consequently, it's no surprise that Moody is missing a second game in a row, and the 49ers will be using a third kicker in as many contests this weekend after Matthew Wright emerged from Week 6 with shoulder and back issues that will require an IR stint. Anders Carlson, who is on San Francisco's practice squad, is lined up to handle placekicking duties Sunday and potentially beyond that point.

San Francisco head coach Kyle Shanahan said Tuesday that he expects Moody to miss "about a month" due to a right high-ankle sprain, Matt Barrows of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
While Shanahan admitted that Moody's recovery timeline is still somewhat hazy, the kicker could be a candidate for injured reserve if the 49ers determine that he'll need at least four games to recover from the ankle sprain. At the very least, the 49ers will be without Moody for at least a few weeks, with his injury prompting the team to bring in five kickers for a tryout Monday. The 49ers ultimately signed Matthew Wright, and he'll take over as the team's kicker beginning with Thursday's game against the Seahawks.

Moody suffered a high-ankle sprain during Sunday's 24-23 loss to the Cardinals, Matt Barrows of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Moody's right ankle was bent under him while he made a tackle during a kickoff in the second quarter of Sunday's game. He was carted to the locker room, where further tests revealed a high-ankle sprain for the 24-year-old kicker. With the 49ers facing the Seahawks on Thursday, San Francisco may have to hold placekicker tryouts early in the week. The 49ers' next game after that is against the Chiefs on Oct. 20.

Moody (ankle) won't return to Sunday's game versus the Cardinals, Jennifer Lee Chan of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
EDGE Analysis
On a kickoff in the second quarter, Moody was the tackler on the play in question, got his right ankle bent under him and eventually was carted from the sideline to the locker room. With Moody's status confirmed for the rest of Week 5, the 49ers will entrust kicking duties to punter Mitch Wishnowsky. The team also will be operating on a short week in advance of Thursday's visit to Seattle, so tryouts for a temporary placekicker may be in the offing early this week.

Moody left Sunday's game against the Cardinals due to a right ankle injury, Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Moody was forced to make a tackle of Arizona returner DeeJay Dallas on a kickoff in the second quarter, and the former suffered an ankle injury in the process. While the second-year kicker was able to hop to the sideline, Moody then was carted to the locker room. Kyle Juszczyk was seen practicing kicks on the sideline, indicating he's the emergency kicker in the event Moody doesn't return.

Moody went 3-for-3 on both field-goal attempts and point-after tries in Sunday's 30-13 win over New England.
EDGE Analysis
Moody got back on track with his strong start to the fantasy campaign after converting all of his kicks for 12 points on the heels of last week's mediocre effort. The 2023 third-round pick has nailed 11 of his 12 attempts from the field this season, chipping in 10 PATs for fantasy managers through four games. Moody makes for a great starting option heading into next Sunday's tilt against the Cardinals.

Moody went 1-for-2 on field-goal attempts and 3-for-3 on point-after tries in Sunday's 27-24 loss to the Rams.
EDGE Analysis
Moody nailed a chip shot from 26 yards out in the fourth quarter, but wound up missing his final attempt from 55 yards out in the three-point loss. Similar to his missed PAT in the Super Bowl last season, the outcome of this game might have been altered had the 2023 third-round selection converted this tougher kick Sunday. It was the sophomore's first miss through three weeks, keeping Moody in the upper tier of kicking options heading into Sunday's tilt against the Patriots.

Moody converted his lone field-goal attempt of 31 yards while going 2-for-2 on PATs in Sunday's 23-17 loss to Minnesota.
EDGE Analysis
Moody's fantasy ship came back to Earth following his six-made FGs against the Jets in Week 1. The sophomore kicker saw his scoring opportunities decrease against the Vikings, but he remained perfect when called upon for a late field-goal attempt. The Michigan product has made all seven of his kicks from the field this season, including two FGMs from 50-plus yards out. Moody remains a strong fantasy option in a road matchup against the Rams on Sunday.
