The Michigan product's first two conversions were relatively easy -- they came from 30 and 26 yards, respectively -- but he showed a big leg in the fourth quarter, when he was successful from 50, 44 and 59 yards. Moody did miss one attempt from 53 yards out, but that shouldn't put a damper on what may have been a big boost to his confidence after he struggled last year, converting just 24 of 34 field-goal tries.

Now fully healthy and with his job not currently in jeopardy, Moody will attempt to get his 2025 campaign off on the right foot.

The 24-year-old may be in jeopardy of losing his starting job if he is unable to show some composure in Sunday's season-finale against Arizona.

His 48-yard field-goal attempt early in the fourth quarter sailed left, and after missing his final extra-point try with less than a minute left to play, he capped things off with an onside-kick attempt that was blasted straight out of bounds. In the eight games since the 49ers' Week 9 bye, the 2023 third-round pick has gone 10-for-18 on field-goal attempts (including 3-for-7 and 1-for-5 on attempts from 40 to 49 yards and 50-plus yards, respectively) and 17-for-18 on extra-point tries. Moody will look to bounce back in the 49ers' regular-season finale against the Cardinals on Sunday.

Moody is proving to be just an average kicking option despite his third-round pedigree, and the same could be said for his fantasy value against Detroit next Monday.

Moody went 2-for-2 on field-goal attempts with no point-after tries in Thursday's 12-6 loss to the Rams.

Moody was the only 49ers' player to record any points in Thursday's low-scoring affair. The sophomore kicker set a new career best in FGs made (22) at a 79 percent clip through 11 games. With San Francisco falling apart at the end of the campaign, Moody checks in as a mid-tier kicking option in Week 16 against the Dolphins.
