Vikings released CB Jacob Lacey. CB Shaun Prater was claimed off waivers from the Eagles in a corresponding roster move. On the roster for just four days, Lacey didn't appear in Monday night's dispiriting loss.

Vikings re-signed CB Jacob Lacey. 26-year-old Lacey knows Minnesota's defensive scheme and adds depth to an incredibly banged-up secondary. Eli Manning has a tempting matchup Monday night.

Vikings released CB Jacob Lacey. 26-year-old Lacy's roster chances were shot when he needed a knee scope, costing him 2-4 weeks. The move forces Minnesota to eat $65,000 in signing and workout bonuses. Lacy could resurface on a roster once he gets healthy.

Vikings CB Jacob Lacey is out 2-4 weeks after having his knee scoped. Lacey is competing with the likes of A.J. Jefferson, Marcus Sherels, and Brandon Burton behind the nickel set of Xavier Rhodes, Chris Cook, and Josh Robinson. The missed time and knee woes could hurt Lacey's 53-man roster chances.

Vikings CB Jacob Lacey underwent surgery to repair a dislocated thumb on Wednesday. It's unclear how long Lacey will be sidelined, but we would be surprised if the former Lions and Colts corner wasn't ready for camp. Per the Minneapolis Star-Tribune, Lacey been seeing reps as the second-string slot corner in OTAs behind Josh Robinson. Pro Football Focus graded Lacey as the 63rd-best cornerback in 2012. He has made 36 career starts.

Vikings agreed to terms with CB Jacob Lacey, formerly of the Lions. Lacey visited the Twin Cities two weeks ago, but the sides didn't agree to terms until after the draft. Lacey has never been a full-time starter, but has started at least eight games every year since 2009. He started nine for the Lions last season before a subluxation of his knee cap landed him on injured reserve in Week 15. He'll be a candidate to take Antoine Winfield's place in the slot.

Free agent CB Jacob Lacey visited the Vikings on Thursday. Lacey, 26 next month, played in just 11 games last season due to knee and foot injuries. However, he has started 36 games over his career and would provide quality veteran depth at a position of need in Minnesota.

Lions placed CB Jacob Lacey (knee) on injured reserve, ending his season. Lacey suffered a subluxation of his knee cap in Week 15. Signed to a one-year contract last March, Lacey started nine games for the Lions, recording 36 tackles, four passes defensed, and an interception. He had come on strong in pass coverage the past six weeks after a slow start. Lacey is a free agent in 2013.

Lions coach Jim Schwartz said at Monday's presser that CB Jacob Lacey has avoided ligament damage to his knee, but that his injury could still be "significant." It doesn't sound like Lacey will be suiting up for the final two games of the season. That's bad news since the Lions' injury-ravaged secondary will be contending with Matt Ryan and Jay Cutler. Still only 25 years old, Lacey is headed back to the open market after playing under a one-year deal this season. He's graded out in the middle of the pack in Pro Football Focus' cornerback rankings.
