Everett caught two of four targets for 10 yards in Saturday's preseason win over the Bengals.
EDGE Analysis
Everett got a lot of playing time on the first-team offense for a second straight week, including as the lone tight end in three-wide formations. Everett's usage has led to concern about Cole Kmet failing to match his near-every-down role from the past three season, but even if that happens, it's unlikely Everett would get enough snaps/routes to achieve mainstream fantasy utility of his own.

The Bears activated Everett (undisclosed) off the active/non-football injury list Sunday, Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Everett landed on the NFI list Friday due to an undisclosed issue, but the matter was apparently minor, as he's coming off the list two days later. With his activation, the veteran will be eligible to practice with the team. Everett is slated to work as the Bears' backup at tight end behind Cole Kmet this season.

The Bears placed Everett (undisclosed) on the active/non-football injury list Friday, Chris Emma of 670TheScore.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Everett suffered a knee issue Week 18 last season with the Chargers, but placement on the NFI list is an indication that his current injury is unrelated. He's eligible to be activated t at any point this summer. Everett figures to work behind Cole Kmet for Chicago this season, and with a trio of notable wideouts atop the depth chart in DJ Moore, Keenan Allen and Rome Odunze, it's difficult to imagine much receiving work will be left over for the No. 2 tight end. After exceeding the 400-yard mark for the past five seasons, it wouldn't be surprising if Everett's production as a pass catcher declines during the 2024 season.

Everett and the Bears are in agreement on a contract, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
One of the better receiving options among a weak free-agent class of tight ends, Everett is linking up with a Bears team that already has a proven starter in Cole Kmet, who is coming off a 719-yard, six-TD season. Everett could take some of the snaps in obvious passing situations given that he's probably a bit quicker and more agile, though Kmet is taller, heavier, stronger and has a better track record of receiving production. The Bears may have a lot of two-TE formations in mind, especially with their WR depth behind No. 1 DJ Moore looking shaky at the moment. Still, it's not a great fantasy situation for Everett, who turns 30 in June after five straight seasons in the range of 408 to 555 receiving yards (for three different teams).

Everett, who was forced out of the 13-12 loss to the Chiefs on Sunday due to a knee injury, finished the 2023 campaign with 51 catches for 411 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
EDGE Analysis
The Chargers haven't released any official information regarding the severity of Everett's injury, so it's fair to assume the veteran should be healthy following the offseason. The 29-year-old wrapped up his seventh year in the NFL with solid figures given his role essentially as a safety blanket for Justin Herbert, as he never recorded more than 50 yards receiving in a single game despite seven contests with at least four receptions. Everett enters the offseason as an unrestricted free agent that will likely draw some suitors given his constant reliability.

Everett was forced out of Sunday's game against the Chiefs with a knee injury.
EDGE Analysis
Prior to his exit from the contest, Everett caught his only target for four yards. In his absence, Stone Smartt, Nick Vannett and Donald Parham are available to handle the Chargers' TE reps in Week 18.

Everett finished with four receptions on nine targets for 31 yards in Sunday's 16-9 loss to Denver.
EDGE Analysis
Everett surpassed the season high of eight targets that he had seen over the Chargers' last three contests, but he wound up finishing Sunday's loss with the lowest reception and yardage total of any game from that span. The veteran tight end wasn't the only player to struggle for a team that failed to score a touchdown against the now 8-8 Broncos. Everett and the rest of his teammates will look to end the season on a high note if they can upset the Chiefs in Week 18.

Everett caught seven of eight targets for 42 yards in Saturday's 24-22 loss to the Bills.
EDGE Analysis
Everett set a new high-water mark for receptions this season after leading the Chargers with seven grabs Saturday. The veteran tight end has now seen eight targets in each of his last three contests, producing averages of 5.7 receptions and 40.7 yards over that span. Everett should continue providing useful PPR numbers when the Chargers visit the Broncos on Dec. 31.

Everett brought in five of eight targets for 41 yards in the Chargers' 63-21 loss to the Raiders on Thursday night.
EDGE Analysis
Everett finished with a team-high reception total for the Chargers in the lopsided loss, with his enhanced participation partly the byproduct of Keenan Allen's (heel) absence. The veteran tight end actually has back-to-back five-catch tallies, and he hasn't recorded less than four receptions since being blanked against the Lions in Week 10. Everett figures to continue enjoying a solid role in a Week 16 home battle against the Bills on Saturday, Dec. 23, particularly if Allen remains sidelined for that contest.

Everett (hip) doesn't have an injury designation for Thursday's game at Las Vegas.
EDGE Analysis
Everett is one of the many Chargers with a larger target share projection now that Keenan Allen (heel) has been ruled out for Week 15, albeit in the context of an offense featuring Easton Stick at quarterback instead of franchise signal-caller Justin Herbert (finger), who has been shut down for the season. Everett should be ready to handle his usual role as the Chargers' top tight end after he was listed as a full participant in Wednesday's practice.
