Decker (shoulder) said he will be ready for the start of training camp in July, Newsday's Bob Glauber reports.
EDGE Analysis
Coming off a 2016 season that was essentially wiped out by hip and shoulder injuries which both required surgery, Decker is taking part in the Jets' voluntary offseason workouts in anticipation of being a full go for the start of training camp. There's been speculation the team could trade or release him once he's able to pass a physical, as the Jets already kicked off the rebuilding process this offseason by parting ways with Brandon Marshall, Darrelle Revis and Nick Mangold. It won't be surprising if the veteran wideout is ultimately retained, as all three of the aforementioned players will be 32 or older by Week 1, while Decker just recently turned 30 and carries reasonable cap hits of $8.75 million (2017) and $9 million (2018) for the final two seasons of his contract. The Jets are expected to have an open competition at quarterback between Josh McCown, Bryce Petty and Christian Hackenberg.

Decker (shoulder) will be given time to rehab before the Jets evaluate his future, ESPN's Rich Cimini reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Jets have already parted ways with some of their top performers from recent years, releasing CB Darrelle Revis and C Nick Mangold, in addition to trading WR Brandon Marshall to the Giants. While this looks to be as close to a full rebuild as one ever sees in the NFL, it shouldn't be assumed the team will release Decker, who carries reasonable cap hits of $8.75 million (2017) and $9 million (2018) for the final two seasons of his contract. He also just celebrated his 30th birthday this past week, whereas Marshall, Mangold and Revis will all be at least 32 before Week 1. Decker is expected to participate in the non-contact portions of OTAs, and while he isn't a lock to be ready for training camp, the team hopes he'll be available Week 1. It is still possible he'll be released after he passes a physical, which he presumably won't be able to do for another few months.

Decker (shoulder) is anticipated to be able to participate in non-contact portions of OTAs and should be ready for the start of the 2017 season, according to Jets general manager Mike Maccagnan.
EDGE Analysis
Decker featured in merely three games this past season before landing on injured reserve in October. After his campaign was ruled over, Decker underwent surgery on both his hip and shoulder, leaving him to recover from two procedures this offseason. While Maccagnan says Decker is now able to run straight ahead, evidencing progress from his hip surgery, the wideout is expected to be limited to non-contact work in OTAs. From there, the veteran will hope to be fully cleared ahead of the regular season, when he currently projects to be New York's top receiver.

Decker could miss training camp as he continues to recover from hip and shoulder surgeries he underwent last year, ESPN.com reports. However, the New York Daily News speculates that Decker could be cut if/when he passes his physical.
EDGE Analysis
The Jets let Brandon Marshall go as part of a purge of big-money contracts, opening up roughly $45 million in cap space. Decker played in just three games last season before succumbing to the injuries, though if he can get back to 100 percent, he would be a solid asset to the Jets, or whichever franchise picks him up if New York lets him go.

Decker (hip) underwent surgery on his torn rotator cuff Tuesday, the New York Daily News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Decker's shoulder injury ended his season after just three games in which he gathered in nine of 21 passes for 194 yards and two touchdowns. Prior to alleviating that concern, though, he had a procedure on his hip. Facing eight months of recovery, any setback could impact his availability at the outset of training camp in 2017. Once healthy, the Jets' uncertainty under center may have further negative ramifications as he enters his age-30 season.

Decker (shoulder) had hip surgery Tuesday, SNY's Ralph Vacchiano reports.
EDGE Analysis
Decker was already ruled out for the season due to a torn rotator cuff that needs surgery. He apparently also needed surgery on his hip, and he won't have the shoulder procedure until he no longer needs crutches, according to Vacchiano. Considering the hip procedure comes with a six-month recovery timetable and the shoulder procedure with an eight-month timetable, Decker may be in some danger of missing the beginning of the 2017 season.

The Jets placed Decker (shoulder) on injured reserve Wednesday, and he is expected to undergo season-ending surgery.
EDGE Analysis
Landing on injured reserve is not the automatic season-ender it used to be, but Decker will require a several months to recover from the procedure to repair his torn rotator cuff, and will not be able to recover in time to take the field again in 2016. With Decker out, Brandon Marshall figures to continue getting plenty of targets on a weekly basis, and Quincy Enunwa will continue starting opposite Marshall for the foreseeable future.

The Jets are planning to place Decker (shoulder) on injured reserve, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.
EDGE Analysis
Neither team nor player has commented on the report, but Decker's injured shoulder has not shown the desired progress, and the team apparently expects him to be out a while longer, so it seems they will place him on injured reserve in order to open up a roster spot for a healthier player. If Decker does land on injured reserve, Quincy Enunwa's hold on the starting receiver spot opposite Brandon Marshall would grow stronger.

Decker (shoulder) has been ruled out of Sunday's game against the Steelers.
EDGE Analysis
Decker didn't practice all week, so it's not surprising that he'll be sidelined by his shoulder injury for a second straight game. However, with Quincy Enunwa (knee) listed as questionable and Jalin Marshall (shoulder) considered doubtful, the Jets' receiving corps is pretty banged-up at the moment. Enunwa would figure to be the chief beneficiary of Decker's absence, but if his availability is impacted by his sore knee, preseason standout Robby Anderson could be thrust into a larger role.

Decker (shoulder) did not take part in Friday's practice, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Decker was unable to get on the field at all this week, meaning he will almost certainly be ruled out for Sunday's matchup with the Steelers. The Jets will provide Decker's official Week 5 injury designation at some point Friday afternoon.
