Brees acknowledged Tuesday that there's "no doubt" he'll cede snaps to backup Teddy Bridgewater in the Saints' regular-season finale Sunday against the Panthers, Josh Katzenstein of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
EDGE Analysis
New Orleans has already sewn up the No. 1 seed in the NFC, so there's no real incentive for the team to play its starters extensively and risk losing a key player to injury ahead of the postseason. With that in mind, it's expected that coach Sean Payton will follow a similar blueprint to the one he followed in 2006 and 2009, when the Saints were locked in as the Nos. 2 and 1 seeds, respectively, heading into Week 17. Brees played only one full series in 2006 and sat out entirely in 2009, so at the very least, it seems unreasonable to bank on him staying in for more than a quarter of action. Bridgewater thus projects as the better fantasy play among the two signal-callers this week, given that he'll likely see the overwhelming share of snaps.

Brees completed 27 of 39 attempts, compiling 326 passing yards and one touchdown during Sunday's 31-28 win against the Steelers.
EDGE Analysis
No quarterback had experienced a more drastic drop off than Brees over the past three weeks, as the 18-year veteran ranked as QB31 between Weeks 13 and 15, compared to QB3 between Week 5 and 12. Brees had averaged fewer than 180 passing yards per game over his last three outings coming into Sunday, with a 2:3 TD:INT ratio to his name over that span. While he failed to throw multiple passing touchdowns for a fourth straight game during New Orleans' win over Pittsburgh, Brees eclipsed 300 passing yards for the sixth time this season, while posting his first QBR north of 83.0 since lighting up Philadelphia for 363 yards and four touchdowns Nov. 18. With the Saints having already clinched the No. 1 seed throughout the NFC playoffs, Brees may be pulled early, if he suits up at all against Carolina's bottom-12 pass defense in Week 17.

Brees completed 23 of 35 passes for 203 yards and an interception in Monday night's 12-9 win over the Panthers. He also had a two-point conversion attempt intercepted.
EDGE Analysis
Brees and the Saints did enough to get another victory, but it was by no means a vintage performance from the quarterback. In fact, Monday marked the third straight game in which Brees averaged under 6.5 yards per attempt, and even though his 203 passing yards were actually his most over that recent stretch, it still evidences his slide in production of late. Along with having a conversion attempt returned for two points the other way, Brees' first-half interception gave him a pick in four straight games. That comes after he threw just one interception through New Orleans' first 10 outings. With no touchdowns Monday either, Brees certainly had a forgettable display by his lofty standards and will aim to improve in Week 16 versus the Steelers.

Brees completed 24 of 31 passes for 201 yards with a touchdown and an interception in the Saints' 28-14 win over the Buccaneers on Sunday. He also lost a yard on three carries and lost a fumble.
EDGE Analysis
Brees churned out yet another pedestrian stat line, but a combination of defense and an effective enough rushing attack helped lead the Saints to victory anyhow. The perennial Pro Bowler did hit Zach Line for his one touchdown pass, and he reestablished his prolific connection with Michael Thomas to the tune of 11 completions for 98 yards. Brees has now failed to throw multiple touchdown passes in back-to-back games for the first time this season, a matter he'll look to rectify against the Panthers in a Week 15 Monday night divisional showdown.

Brees completed 18 of 28 passes for 127 yards with one touchdown and one interception in the Saints' 13-10 loss to the Cowboys on Thursday. He also rushed once for two yards and fumbled once but recovered.
EDGE Analysis
It was a historically poor night for the future Hall of Famer, whose first-half yardage total was the lowest of his career. Brees was seemingly kept off balance throughout the night by a suffocating Cowboys defense that limited him to his lowest YPA (4.5) of the season. Even his normally prolific connection with Michael Thomas considerably muted, as the Pro Bowl receiver managed just 40 yards on five receptions. Brees did look like himself on a 30-yard scoring strike to Keith Kirkwood late in the third quarter, but he ultimately sunk any chances the Saints may have had with a back-breaking interception at the 2:08 mark of the fourth quarter. Brees will look to take his frustrations out on a vulnerable Buccaneers secondary in a Week 14 matchup on Dec. 9.

Brees completed 22 of 30 passing attempts for 363 yards and four touchdowns in Sunday's 48-7 victory over the Eagles.
EDGE Analysis
The Saints were held to a field goal on their first drive of the day, but Brees was unstoppable after that, leading six touchdown drives on the way to a blowout win over the defending Super Bowl champs. The 39-year-old made beautiful throws the whole contest, but perhaps none was better than his last touchdown throw of the game that hit Alvin Kamara in stride on the sideline for a 24-yard catch-and-run. Brees has an extremely favorable schedule down the stretch and throughout the fantasy playoffs starting with another home game against Atlanta in Week 12.

Brees completed 22 of 25 passes for 265 yards and three touchdowns and added three yards and a touchdown on two carries during Sunday's 51-14 win over Cincinnati.
EDGE Analysis
After picking the Bengals apart for much of the afternoon, Brees got in on the action himself in the final minutes of the third quarter, leaping over the pile for a one-yard touchdown run. It was his third of the season, already tying a career high for rushing touchdowns in a season. In the passing game, there was concern as to how New Orleans' offense could keep pace without much depth at receiver, free-agent acquisition Dez Bryant's (Achilles) season ending about as quickly as it started. The Saints and Brees look like they'll continue marching along just fine with a bonafide WR1 in Michael Thomas and the talented pass-catching duo of Alvin Kamara and Mark Ingram in the backfield. The two combined for seven catches for 104 yards and a touchdown on Sunday. Brees takes on a struggling Philly pass defense next Sunday with an other-worldly 21:1 touchdown:interception ratio on the season and multiple touchdowns and no interceptions in seven of nine games.

Brees completed 25 of 36 pass attempts for 346 yards and four touchdowns during Sunday's 45-35 win over the Rams. He also carried four times for 16 yards.
EDGE Analysis
Brees completed 69 percent of his passes and connected with seven different receivers while averaging a healthy 9.6 yards per attempt. He threw short TD passes to Alvin Kamara, Tre-Quan Smith and Benjamin Watson in the first half before delivering a 72-yard score to Michael Thomas late in the game. Though Brees threw his first interception of the season last week, this outburst gives him an 18:1 TD:INT through eight games. He's also on pace for nearly 4,500 yards yet again and will look to continue his outstanding campaign next Sunday against the Bengals.

Brees connected on 22 of his 30 pass attempts for 212 yards and two touchdowns during Sunday's 24-23 win over Baltimore. He added three yards on four carries.
EDGE Analysis
Brees was stymied for much of Sunday afternoon, but threaded a five-yard slant pass to Michael Thomas for a game-winning touchdown with five minutes remaining in the game, part of a 17-point fourth quarter for New Orleans. The fact that Sunday can be viewed as a so-so game for Brees is a testament to his continued dominance. The veteran passer has completed at least 70 percent of his passes in five of six games this season and boasts an absurd 13:0 touchdown:interception ratio. He continues to be among the most reliable passers in fantasy, particularly with matchup next Sunday against a Minnesota defense ranked 27th in the league in opponent passer rating at 103.1. Minnesota might be lucky to hold Brees to its season average, as a 103.1 rating would be Brees' second worst game of the season.

Brees completed 26 of 29 passes for 363 yards and three touchdowns in Monday night's 43-19 win over the Redskins.
EDGE Analysis
Brees' performance saw him become the NFL's career leader in passing yards. In spectacular fashion, Brees broke the record on a 62-yard touchdown to rookie Tre'Quan Smith, who would finish the night with two scores. After not throwing a touchdown in Week 4, Brees rebounded in a big way Monday, sending the Saints into their bye week on a high note.
