Freeman carried 12 times for 41 yards and secured one of three targets for 20 yards in Sunday's 25-20 win over the Jets.
EDGE Analysis
Freeman saw backfield mate Tevin Coleman garner two more touches on the afternoon, and he tallied just 12 rushes for the second straight game. His downturn in opportunity in Week 7 was largely explained by the deficit the Falcons faced against the Patriots, but Sunday's reduced workload was another matter altogether. Freeman posted between 18 and 21 rushes in Weeks 2-4, but he's totaled a modest 33 rushes combined over the last three games. It remains to be seen if the pattern will persist in a Week 9 divisional battle versus the Panthers, but for the moment, those who ponied up the heavy investment for Freeman have to be getting somewhat concerned.

Freeman carried the ball 12 times for 72 yards in Sunday's game against the Patriots, but Atlanta fell 23-7.
EDGE Analysis
Freeman also hauled in three passes for 18 yards, meaning he averaged six yards per touch. He was one of the few bright spots for Atlanta, who never really seemed in this contest. He has a nice match up in Week 8 against the Jets, who rank near the bottom of the league in rushing yards allowed this season.

Freeman carried nine times for 68 yards and caught two of four targets for 11 additional yards in Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Dolphins.
EDGE Analysis
An explosive 44-yard gain propelled Freeman to an impressive 7.6 yards per carry, but he curiously finished with his fewest allotment of touches in any game this season. Tevin Coleman received 10 touches of his own in this one and converted a six-yard touchdown run in the second quarter. A timeshare of sorts between the two backs was expected this year, but Freeman's fantasy value could take a hit if he begins to lose out on more the valuable red zone opportunities he has received in seasons past. He should still be considered the lead back in Atlanta at this juncture and should see his workload increase next week against the Patriots.

Freeman rushed 18 times for 58 yards and a touchdown while catching both of his targets for 20 yards in Sunday's 23-17 loss to Buffalo.
EDGE Analysis
Freeman got twice as many carries as Tevin Coleman, but gained 21 fewer yards. While his one-yard score late in the second quarter gave Atlanta a 10-7 halftime advantage, the team was unable to hold on to the edge and suffered its first loss of the season. Despite averaging 4.1 yards per carry to Coleman's 6.3, Freeman has received 70 of the 99 carries between the two while scoring five rushing touchdowns in four weeks.

Freeman rushed for 106 yards and a score on 21 carries and caught three of five targets for 32 yards in Sunday's 30-26 win over the Lions.
EDGE Analysis
After a relatively quiet outing in Chicago to start the season, Freeman has now reached 100 total yards in back-to-back games and barreled into the end zone for a one-yard score in the second quarter of Sunday's game. Atlanta's running-back situation is interesting in that Tevin Coleman not only provides Freeman with a breather, but is also pretty darn talented himself. Thus far this season, however, new offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian seems happy riding Freeman with just under 20 touches per game - twice that of Coleman. Don't expect Freeman to slow up any time soon.

Freeman rushed 19 times for 84 yards and two touchdowns during Sunday's 34-23 victory over the Packers. He also caught both of his targets for 16 receiving yards.
EDGE Analysis
Sunday night was a good reminder that, despite sharing the backfield with Tevin Coleman, Freeman remains the top dog in Atlanta. In a battle between NFC heavyweights, Freeman out-carried Coleman 21 to 8 and was the recipient of both goal-line opportunities the Falcons had, ultimately finishing the day with touchdown plunges from one- and two-yards out. He'll look to keep it going in an inviting matchup in Week 3 against the Lions.

Freeman carried 12 times for 37 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 23-17 win over the Bears. He also caught both his targets for an additional two yards.
EDGE Analysis
Freeman struggled to the tune of 3.1 yards per carry in this one, but he salvaged his day from a fantasy perspective with a five-yard plunge into the end zone in the second quarter. He also was notably less involved in the passing game than Tevin Coleman, who racked up 42 receiving yards on six targets. While Coleman should continue to command his share of touches, Freeman has the red zone duties locked down and should enjoy an advantage in carries on a weekly basis. This should remain the case in Week 2 against the Packers.

Freeman is no longer subject to the NFL's concussion protocol and has been cleared to practice fully, D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
EDGE Analysis
Freeman, who had been in the protocol for over two weeks, will thus be able to face some contact before Week 1. That said, the Falcons' top back will not play in the team's preseason finale. He'll presumably be joined on the sideline by several other key teammates, while others battle for depth jobs Thursday night against the Jaguars.

On Monday, head coach Dan Quinn ruled Freeman (concussion) out for Thursday's preseason contest against the Jaguars, Kelsey Conway of the Falcons' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
The absence will mark Freeman's third in a row during exhibition season as he works his way through the concussion protocol. On a positive note, he participated in individual drills at Monday's practice, setting himself up to increase his reps in the coming days. Less than two weeks remain before the Falcons kick off the regular season Sept. 10 in Chicago, so Freeman seemingly has plenty of time to receive full clearance from the aforementioned protocol.

Freeman (concussion) was back in practice Monday, D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
EDGE Analysis
Freeman's concussion is anticipated to keep him sidelined for a third straight exhibition outing Thursday, but his return to individual drills is definitely an encouraging development for the Falcons and fantasy owners alike. Although it's unclear if Freeman has fully cleared league protocol, he has nearly two weeks to do so in order to play Week 1 against the Bears.
