Smith (ribs) made his NFL debut Sunday against the Eagles, catching three passes on nine targets for 39 yards.
EDGE Analysis
Smith got the start in place of the injured Eric Decker (knee), but he wasn't able to utilize his speed for any big gains. Decker is hopeful to return in Week 4 against the Dolphins in London, which would push Smith further down the depth chart.

Smith (ribs) is starting Sunday against the Eagles, according to Kimberley Martin of Newsday.
EDGE Analysis
Smith will get the start in place of Eric Decker, who is out with a knee injury. The Jets only have four wideouts on the active roster Sunday, including Brandon Marshall, Jeremy Kerley and Quincy Enunwa, giving Smith his biggest opportunity yet in the young season.

Smith (ribs) is active Sunday against Philadelphia.
EDGE Analysis
With Eric Decker (knee) and Chris Owusu (knee) out, Smith could get an increase in playing time, though Quincy Enunwa is expected to get the start opposite Brandon Marshall, with Jeremy Kerley also in line for more snaps.

Smith (ribs) is considered probable to play Sunday against the Eagles, NJ.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Smith has been a full participant in practice the past two weeks, but has yet to be activated for a game since breaking his ribs and puncturing a lung during training camp. Nonetheless, it appears that opportunity could very well come for the rookie this Sunday, as Smith revealed he is "somewhere close to" 100 percent healthy, and fellow Jets wideouts Chris Owusu and Eric Decker are both dealing with varying knee injuries. Should Smith be cleared to make his NFL debut, his top-end speed would add an extra element to the Jets' offense moving forward.

Smith (ribs) practiced in full on Wednesday, ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
With fellow wideouts Eric Decker and Chris Owusu banged up, Smith -- who is bouncing back from broken ribs and a partially punctured lung -- could be active Sunday against the Eagles, though in such a scenario we'd expect the rookie wideout to be eased into the Jets' offense.

Smith (ribs) is inactive for Monday night's game against the Colts.
EDGE Analysis
Smith is being eased backed into the mix as he returns from the broken ribs and partially punctured lung he suffered back on July 31. Given that he was viewed as a game-time decision this week, we wouldn't be surprised to see the second-rounder make his NFL game debut this coming Sunday against the Eagles.

Smith (ribs) is listed as probable for Monday's game, the Jets' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
He was a full participant in Saturday's practice and should be available Monday against the Colts. That said, Smith is pretty deep on the Jets' depth chart at receiver, so he probably won't be prominently featured anytime soon.

A decision on Smith's (ribs) status for Monday's game against the Colts won't arrive until game-day, according to coach Todd Bowles.
EDGE Analysis
With regard to Smith, Bowles noted Friday that the rookie wideout "practiced well, he had a full practice," but the Jets don't seem inclined to rush Smith into the mix, after he suffered broken ribs and a partially punctured lung back on July 31.

Smith (ribs) is inactive Sunday against the Browns.
EDGE Analysis
Jets head coach Todd Bowles said Friday that even though Smith was listed as probable, he was unlikely to play after missing so much of the preseason with his broken ribs. Smith is expected to be a solid piece of the offense this year as the team's best deep-threat, but he'll have to wait until Week 2 to make an impact.

EDGE Analysis
While the Jets list Smith as probable for Sunday's contest against the Browns, coach Todd Bowles acknowledged Friday that he doubts the rookie wideout will play in Week 1. Down the road, however, the Jets hope that the second-rounder will develop into an explosive downfield threat for the team.
