The Bills drafted James Cook out of Georgia in the second round of the NFL Draft, and the rookie will presumably compete with Singletary and Zack Moss for playing time in 2022.
EDGE Analysis
Singletary ended the 2021 season on a tear, scoring nine touchdowns over the team's last six games (three regular season, three playoffs) while surpassing 80 rushing yards in four of them. However, the Bills mostly have run a committee system during coach Sean McDermott's tenure, and with Moss being a shaky option and Singletary being limited to one very nice hot streak in a three-year career, Cook now will fill out the room. While we imagine the No. 1 job in the committee is Singletary's to lose, the Bills didn't use a second-round pick on a benchwarmer. Expect the rookie to start chipping in on Singletary's workload right away, and Cook could even leapfrog Moss in short order for the No. 2 role.

Singletary rushed 10 times for 26 yards and a touchdown while adding four catches for 25 yards on five targets in Sunday's 42-36 overtime loss to the Chiefs.
EDGE Analysis
SIngletary capped Buffalo's opening drive with his ninth scrimmage touchdown in the last six games. After Singletary's one-yard rushing score, the game turned into a passing battle between Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes, with Mahomes coming out on top in thrilling fashion. Singletary grabbed hold of the lead role in Buffalo's backfield down the stretch, and the 2019 third-round pick out of FAU will likely pick up where he left off as the team's top running back next season.

Singletary rushed 16 times for 81 yards and two touchdowns and brought in three of four targets for 13 yards during the Bills' 47-17 win over the Patriots in an AFC wild-card matchup Saturday night.
EDGE Analysis
Josh Allen stole the show with 374 total yards and five scores in the blowout win, but Singletary capped off the other two of Buffalo's record-setting seven consecutive touchdown drives with a pair of visits to the end zone of his own. The third-year pro averaged an impressive 5.1 yards per carry, and his second scoring jaunt, a 16-yarder late in the second quarter, served as his longest run of the night. Singletary has proven to be an ideal complementary component to Allen's work through the air and demonstrated he's capable of handling a true lead-back workload with double-digit carries in five consecutive games going back to Week 15. The 24-year-old should play another key role in next weekend's divisional-round matchup against either the Chiefs or Bengals.

Singletary carried the ball 19 times for 88 yards and a touchdown and caught both his targets for 24 yards and a second TD in Sunday's 27-10 win over the Jets.
EDGE Analysis
The third-year running back continued his impressive finish to the regular season, scoring both his TDs in the fourth quarter as the Bills finally pulled away from the Jets and locked up their second straight AFC East title. Singletary racked up an impressive 485 scrimmage yards and six touchdowns (five rushing, one receiving) over the final five games of the regular season, giving him massive momentum heading into Saturday's wild-card round clash with the Patriots.

Singletary rushed 23 times for 110 yards and two touchdowns and failed to bring in his only target in the Bills' 29-15 win over the Falcons on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Singletary logged double-digit carries for the third straight game and continued to make good use of the opportunity, churning out a season-high yardage total while logging his third and fourth rushing touchdowns of the last three games in the process. He found the end zone from six and four yards out in the second half to bring Buffalo back from a surprising 15-14 halftime deficit, and the performance came at the timeliest of moments for fantasy managers. The vulnerable Jets run defense should serve as an appealing tune-up for the postseason for Singletary in Week 18.

Singletary rushed 12 times for 39 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 33-21 win over the Patriots. He added five catches for 39 yards on six targets.
EDGE Analysis
Matt Breida was a healthy scratch, and Singletary worked as the lead back over Zack Moss (three carries for 12 yards) in Buffalo's backfield. Singletary restored Buffalo's two-possession lead in the fourth quarter with a two-yard rushing touchdown, notably getting the call in close over Moss, who had been Buffalo's preferred short-yardage back earlier in the season. The 24-year-old Singletary has a modest four touchdowns this season, but he has now scored in consecutive games heading into a Week 17 visit from the Falcons.

Singletary ran for 86 yards and one touchdown on 22 carries against Carolina on Sunday. He also had one catch for 10 yards.
EDGE Analysis
With star quarterback Josh Allen managing a foot tweak, there was a lot of pressure for Singletary to step up against the Panthers and he answered the call. Allen sometimes struggled against Carolina's strong pass rush, but when the passing game went cold, Singletary often helped will the offense down the field and played a big role in Buffalo's ability to control the game despite their occasional struggles on offense. The Bills' backfield rotation has been all over the place all year, but a showing like this in a must-win game might earn Singletary more leash as the team tries to rally for a playoff push. Unfortunately for Singletary and the Bills offense, they head to New England to face the Patriots in Week 16.

Singletary's teammate Zack Moss will be a healthy inactive for the third time in four weeks Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Singletary saw 83 percent of the offensive snaps and totaled 89 yards from scrimmage in the overtime loss to Tampa Bay last week with Moss out, even though he only had four rushing attempts. Expect Singletary to lead the Buffalo backfield once again, though the game script in Buffalo is all over the board from week to week. He could see more carries than usual -- certainly more than four -- with Moss out again and with running quarterback Josh Allen hobbled by a foot injury.

Singletary rushed four times for 52 yards and secured six of seven targets for 37 yards in the Bills' 33-27 overtime loss to the Buccaneers on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
The Bills barely bothered to run the ball in conventional fashion against the Buccaneers' nearly impenetrable front, with Josh Allen easily serving as the team's most productive performer on the ground. However, Singletary was able to rip off a 29-yard run and was highly efficient with his three other carries as well, leading to his best rushing yardage total since Week 4. His reception total was also his second highest of the season, making it a productive fantasy day overall in a game where Buffalo focused heavily on the pass. Singletary should have a chance at a more robust workload on the ground in a Week 15 home matchup against the Panthers.

With teammate Zack Moss inactive Sunday, Singletary and Matt Breida are in line to head the Bills' backfield in Week 14 versus the Buccaneers.
EDGE Analysis
Given that Moss, who logged eight carries and three targets in the Bills' Week 13 loss to the Patriots, is out of the mix, both Singletary (10 carries versus New England) and Breida (one carry, one target) figure to see added touches Sunday, albeit while facing a rugged Tampa Bay run defense that has allowed an average of 84.3 yards per game on the ground to date.
