Deion Branch left Monday's game with a hamstring injury during the second quarter, but returned to finish with two catches for 19 yards.
We're not so sure the injury impacted Branch as much as the Patriots' scheme did, as the downside of using Branch was on full display tonight. As long as he's healthy, Branch will continue to be a boom-or-bust WR3/4 going forward.

Deion Branch caught five passes for 58 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's win over the Jets.
The catches were Branch's most since he hauled in seven in Week 5, though the touchdown was his fourth in six games. With the Patriots' schedule opening up after a brutal midseason stretch, Branch should be a serviceable WR3 more often than not. He'll be a solid play against the Chiefs in Week 11.

Deion Branch managed just two receptions for 21 yards against the Giants in Week 9.
Struggling to get open against quality corners, Branch has averaged just 34 yards the past six games after totaling 222 in the first two. Though he's on pace for 64 receptions and 852 yards, Branch can't be trusted against the Jets' shut-down secondary in Week 10.

Deion Branch caught four passes for 36 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's loss to the Steelers.
Branch's two-yard score in the second quarter gives him three touchdowns in his past four games. Averaging 4.29 catches and 57.9 yards, Branch is a rock solid WR3.

Deion Branch hauled in seven passes for 74 yards and a touchdown against the Jets in Week 5.
Branch was targeted eight times with Darrelle Revis spending most of his time on Wes Welker. Branch juked out Antonio Cromartie for a 2-yard score and nearly had a second touchdown, but was stopped at the 1-yard line. Branch had just one catch over the previous two weeks, so consistency shouldn't be expected going forward.

Deion Branch was held to just one catch for a four-yard touchdown against the Raiders in Week 4.
Branch went seven quarters without a catch before his touchdown early in the fourth quarter. Tom Brady is known to throw to his open receiver, so we have to believe Branch just hasn't been getting separation from defenders the past two weeks. Though he's on pace for a respectable 64 receptions and 904 yards, Branch can't be trusted against the Jets next week.

Deion Branch played 69-of-75 offensive snaps in Sunday's loss to the Bills.
Somehow, Branch recorded zero catches on three targets despite playing almost every down. Consider it a fluke. Branch came into yesterday with 15 catches for 222 yards in the first two games.

Deion Branch caught eight passes for 129 yards and two touchdowns in New England's Week 2 win over the Chargers.
Branch drew 10 targets, giving him 19 through his first two games, and leaving no doubt as to whom the Patriots' No. 2 receiver is. Since arriving back in New England last October, Branch has caught 63 passes for 928 yards and five touchdowns in 13 games.

Deion Branch caught nine passes for 93 yards in Week 1 against Miami.
Branch bobbled a potential touchdown catch from six yards out, but was extremely efficient aside, hauling in 7 of his 9 targets. He absolutely toasted Nolan Carroll (two catches for 44 yards), who was forced onto the field when Vontae Davis went down with cramps. He won't have that luxury in the coming weeks, and Tom Brady won't throw for 517 yards again anytime soon. As Chad Ochocinco gets adjusted to the offense, Branch will begin to lose snaps. He's' not worth rostering.

Coach Bill Belichick expressed no concern over Deion Branch's quiet preseason.
The good news is that Branch didn't miss any time over the last month and Belichick says he has looked good. The bad news is that he caught zero passes in his three preseason games. With Chad Ochocinco in town and the tight ends emerging, Branch isn't on the fantasy radar.
