Deion Branch (knee) is listed as questionable to play in Super Bowl XLVI. The listing is just a formality, as Branch was able to avoid aggravating his injury in each of the Patriots' first two playoff wins. Branch had one of his quietest games of the season in New England's first matchup with the Giants in Week 9, catching just two passes for 21 yards.

Deion Branch caught three passes for 85 yards and a touchdown against the Broncos in the Divisional round of the playoffs. As Deion Sanders would say, Branch made a "business decision" in ducking a ball in traffic. Tom Brady came right back to him with a perfect sideline pass, and Branch used a subtle after-catch pushoff for a 61-yard score against Andre Goodman. As the fourth option in the passing game, Branch's production has been hit-or-miss this season.

Deion Branch played just 14-of-70 snaps in Week 17. Branch played on eight of the first 11 snaps and then missed the next 51. Beat writer Mike Reiss suggests that Branch's groin may have tightened up. However, Branch did return for the final drive. He didn't see a single target on the day, finishing the season with 51 catches and 702 yards and five touchdowns in 15 games.

Deion Branch (groin, questionable) was limited again in Friday's practice. Branch played through the same injury after a limited work week in Week 16, so we anticipate him playing against Buffalo. He's sitting on a 51/702/5 line.

Deion Branch (groin) was limited in Patriots practice for the second straight day Thursday. Branch was active for Week 16 after turning in a week of limited practices, and will take the field as the Patriots attempt to lockdown the No. 1 seed in the AFC Sunday. He's Rotoworld's 50th ranked receiver for Week 17.

Deion Branch caught three passes for 37 yards with a touchdown in the Patriots' Week 16 win over the Dolphins. Despite coming in as a game-time call due to a groin injury, Branch played nearly every down. He racked up nine targets. Branch's touchdown came when Tom Brady extended the play with his legs and Branch got open in the back of the end zone for a 1-yard score. Branch figures to play a full complement of snaps in the season finale as the Patriots try to clinch home-field advantage.

Deion Branch (groin) is active for Saturday's Week 16 game against the Dolphins. Branch was held without a catch for three quarters in Week 14 before hurting his groin. Then he sat out last week's game in Denver. Owners should be able to do better for a WR3/flex options. Meanwhile, the Patriots will be without both their starting tackles in LT Matt Light (ankle) and Sebastian Vollmer (foot, back). Rookies Nate Solder and Marcus Cannon will be protecting Tom Brady. The rest of the Patriots inactives: QB Ryan Mallett, RB Shane Vereen, DE Ron Brace, LB Brandon Spikes and S Patrick Chung.

Deion Branch (groin) says he's feeling better this week and doing everything he can to get the starting nod for Saturday's game against the Dolphins. "One day at a time," Branch said of his status. "I think I've got to go out there and show coach a little more than what I showed him last week and hopefully I'll get the nod that I can go." Branch is shaping up as a game-time decision for Week 16.

Deion Branch (groin) was limited in Patriots practice for the second straight day Thursday. Branch has now gone two weeks without turning in a full practice, and the Patriots have maintained radio silence on his status. At this point, it would seem more likely than not he sits out for the second straight week. You need to be looking elsewhere for your WR3 for the fantasy finals.

Deion Branch (groin) was limited in Patriots practice Wednesday. Branch was limited in practice every day last week before being ruled out against the Broncos, so it's too early to guess what he might do in Week 16. You shouldn't be counting on him as a WR3.
