The Dolphins' plan is to make rookie RB Daniel Thomas a "workhorse," according to the Miami Herald.
The Dolphins' decision to sign Reggie Bush over Ahmad Bradshaw is great news for Thomas. Bush is just hoping for, not demanding, 10-15 touches per game. NFL writer Armando Salguero sees about 18 carries per game for Thomas and 10 for Bush while confirming that the Dolphins "love" Thomas. The rookie's fantasy arrow emerge from free agency with an up arrow.

Coach Tony Sparano confirmed that the Dolphins are no longer targeting just a "scat back" to pair with rookie Daniel Thomas in the backfield.
The plan before the draft was "to not have two of the same" type of backs, but Sparano isn't sure if that option will be available. "There's a chance you could have two of the same again," said Sparano. "And that's OK. Whether that's having Ricky Williams or Ronnie Brown, or getting someone else, that remains to be seen." In addition to DeAngelo Williams, four-year vet Ahmad Bradshaw is expected to be "on Miami's radar."
