Swift carried the ball 13 times for 20 yards and caught two of four targets for 22 yards in Sunday's 21-16 loss to the Colts.
EDGE Analysis
Even with DeForest Buckner (ankle) missing from the Indianapolis front seven, Swift couldn't get anything going on the ground behind Chicago's poor offensive line. Roschon Johnson, who failed to get an offensive snap through the first two games of the season, actually led the Bears in rushing yards on the afternoon with 30 on eight carries. Swift's usage as a receiver is keeping his production from completely bottoming out, but it's been a bleak start to his Bears tenure with just 1.7 yards per carry so far. He'll try to pick up the pace in Week 4 against the Rams.

Swift ran the ball 14 times for 18 yards and caught four of five targets for 24 yards in Sunday's primetime loss to the Texans.
EDGE Analysis
Swift has dominated the backfield touches in Chicago since signing with the team this past offseason. Unfortunately for his fantasy managers, the electric back has been grounded through two starts this season (2.0 YPC). In positive news, no other Chicago running back saw more than two carries or receptions in Sunday's lackluster offensive showing. Swift's next opportunity to prove his worth to his new club will come in the form of a road tilt against the Colts on Sunday.

Swift rushed the ball 10 times for 30 yards in Sunday's 24-17 win over the Titans.
EDGE Analysis
The game script didn't align for Swift to have a good game, as the Bears fell behind 17-3 by halftime and possessed the ball for only 25:07. He also wasn't impressive with the opportunity he received, as half of his 10 attempts went for one or fewer yards. Positively, Swift led the backfield as no other back on the roster saw more than two carries.

Swift didn't log any action in the Bears' 34-21 preseason win over the Chiefs on Thursday night.
EDGE Analysis
Swift unsurprisingly was held out of action along with the other Bears front-line players as well as some key reserves such as backfield mates Khalil Herbert and Roschon Johnson. Swift enjoyed his healthiest season yet in 2023 with the Eagles and parlayed it into his first 1,000-yard campaign, and he's expected to be a key asset to rookie first overall pick Caleb Williams as both an effective runner that will command opposing defenses' respect and as a trusted target out of the backfield.

Swift rushed once for three yards and caught his only target for 42 yards in Saturday's 33-6 preseason win over the Bills.
EDGE Analysis
Swift split snaps with Khalil Herbert (nine carries for 31 yards) while Chicago's starters were in the game, but the former Lions and Eagles running back is the more explosive option, and Swift showcased his shiftiness by turning a screen pass into a 42-yard gain on the opening drive. Swift will likely continue to see modest workloads throughout the preseason, including next Saturday's game against the Bengals, to ensure that he's healthy for the regular season.

Coach Matt Eberflus indicated Thursday that healthy starters (a group that would include Swift) are slated to play in Saturday's preseason contest against the Bills, Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Swift was among the team's key players who didn't see action in last week's Hall of Fame Game, but the 25-year-old, who spent last season with Philadelphia, is poised to make his game debut in a Chicago uniform Saturday. In his lone campaign with the Eagles, Swift logged a team (and career) high 1,049 yards to go along with five TDs on 229 carries, while adding a career-low 39 catches (on 49 targets) for 214 yards and another score in 16 regular-season contests. Per Kevin Fishbainof The Athletic, Swift has demonstrated his ability as a receiver over the past few weeks in practice, and it's plausible that the 2020 second-rounder could see an uptick in catches this coming season, while leading a backfield that also includes Khalil Herbert, Roschon Johnson and Travis Homer.

With the Bears slated to rest key starters in Thursday's Hall of Fame Game against the Texans, Swift is among the players not in line to see action in Chicago's preseason opener, wgntv.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
With the theme of starters resting, QB Caleb Williams, as well as WRs DJ Moore, Keenan Allen and Rome Odunze, are also players who aren't expected to see action Thursday. The Bears' second exhibition game will take place Aug. 10 against the Bills.

Swift and the Bears agreed to terms Monday on a three-year, $24 million contract, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's the first major deal reported during the free-agent negotiating period and can't be made official until Wednesday afternoon. Swift figures to step in as the lead back for an offense with a new coordinator (Shane Waldron) and likely a new quarterback (Caleb Williams?), though he probably won't be a workhorse given that the Bears also have Khalil Herbert and 2023 fourth-round pick Roschon Johnson under contract. Herbert, in particular, is a threat to take a good chunk of the carries, as he's averaged 4.9 yards on 364 totes through three pro seasons. Herbert hasn't done much in the passing game -- 43 catches, 4.9 YPT -- and doesn't figure to get many chances there now that Swift is on the team.

Swift (illness) had 10 carries for 34 yards and caught all four of his targets for 32 yards in Monday's 32-9 loss to Tampa Bay.
EDGE Analysis
Swift returned to action after missing the Eagles' regular-season finale with an illness. Philly's lead back didn't have his usual burst on his rushing attempts (3.4 YPC), as he might have still been feeling the effects from the illness he just overcame. Whatever the case may have been, it was a down game from nearly every offensive player not named DeVonta Smith (8-148-0 receiving line). Swift's regular season had a much brighter tone, as the former Detroit Lion unlocked his first 1,000-yard season following his trade to the Eagles this past offseason. With Philadelphia's season officially concluding with the loss to Tampa Bay, Swift will enter free agency on the heels of his best statistical season to date.

Swift (illness) practiced fully Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Swift didn't show up on the Eagles' Week 18 injury report until Friday as limited due to an illness and entered last weekend as questionable. He proceeded to be inactive this past Sunday at the Giants, allowing the trio of Kenneth Gainwell, Boston Scott and Rashaad Penny to man the team's backfield in that contest. With three more days to recover from his ailment, Swift was able to handle every rep to begin the week and thus is in line to resume his standing as Philadelphia's lead runner in Monday's wild-card game in Tampa Bay.
