Swift (quadriceps) is listed as active Sunday in San Francisco.
EDGE Analysis
Swift mustered just one limited practice (Friday) during Week 14 prep, but a quad injury won't stop him from being available Sunday. There's a good chance he'll continue to lead the Bears backfield, especially with Roschon Johnson (concussion) sidelined, but Travis Homer and Darrynton Evans are on hand in the event Swift needs a breather at any point.

Swift (quadriceps), who is questionable for Sunday's Week 14 tilt against the 49ers, is expected to suit up, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Swift entered the weekend deemed questionable to play Sunday after logging a DNP/DNP/LP progression during the practice week. It appears he'll be able to take the field, though, against a San Francisco defense that gave up 220 rushing yards -- albeit in a snowstorm -- against Buffalo last week. If Swift is indeed able to suit up Sunday, he'll be looking to break out of a two-game slump during which he's totaled a meager 69 rushing yards on 24 carries without a score. The veteran running back has been fine as a receiver in that span, however, tallying 70 yards on five catches.

Swift (quadriceps) practiced in a limited capacity Friday and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the 49ers.
EDGE Analysis
Swift and WR DJ Moore (quadriceps) both are listed as questionable for Sunday's road matchup. After Swift missed practice Wednesday and Thursday, it's encouraging to see him listed as at least a limited participant Friday, but his status may not be made official until roughly 90 minutes prior to Sunday's 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff. With Roschon Johnson (concussion) already ruled out for Week 14, Travis Homer and practice-squad member Darrynton Evans will be in line to lead Chicago's backfield if Swift can't go.

Swift (quadricep) didn't practice Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Swift and Roschon Johnson (concussion) were spectators for the second practice in a row, leaving the availability of both of Chicago's top two running backs in question as Sunday's game against the 49ers approaches. The two will both have one last chance to practice Friday before the Bears decide whether either carries a designation into the weekend. If both Swift and Johnson end up sitting out this weekend, Travis Homer and practice-squad member Darrynton Evans would serve as the Bears' primary options out of the backfield.

Swift did not practice Wednesday due to a quadricep injury.
EDGE Analysis
Swift was one of three key skill-position starters for Chicago who sat out practice Wednesday, with wideouts DJ Moore (quadriceps) and Keenan Allen (ankle) also listed as non-participants. The Bears are at least benefiting from an extended period of rest, coming off a 23-20 loss to the Lions on Thursday in Week 13, but Swift's status will need to be closely monitored as Sunday's road game against the 49ers approaches. With Roschon Johnson (concussion) also a non-participant Wednesday, special-teams ace Travis Homer may have a path to increased offensive reps Week 14.

Swift ran for 39 yards on 11 carries and caught two passes for 35 yards on three targets in Thursday's 23-20 loss to the Lions.
EDGE Analysis
Swift's rushing box score isn't impressive, but he showed well enough in a difficult setting. The Detroit run defense is one of the best in the league, and Swift mostly ran tough. No one will mistake Swift for one of the league's top running backs, but he has not been the cause of any of the problems with his team's offense. As much as there's no guarantee the Bears are more organized against the 49ers in Week 14, Swift has mostly proven by now that he will produce reasonably well if the circumstances suit it.

Swift rushed the ball 13 times for 30 yards in Sunday's 30-27 overtime loss to the Vikings. He added three receptions on four targets for 35 yards.
EDGE Analysis
Swift gained only 20 yards on 10 carries in the first half and was largely scripted out of the contest in the final two quarters as the Bears played from behind. He did manage his highest yardage total as a receiver since Week 5 to avoid a completely disastrous performance. While Swift has been effective for large portions of the season, he may not bounce back in Week 13 against a tough Lions run defense.

Swift (groin) is listed as active Sunday against the Vikings.
EDGE Analysis
After logging a DNP on Wednesday due to a groin injury, Swift followed it up with a limited session Thursday and full participation Friday before the Bears deemed him questionable for Week 12 action. With his status now confirmed for Sunday's contest, he likely will pace Chicago's backfield, but the team could deploy a timeshare considering Swift handled 54 percent of snaps while fellow RB Roschon Johnson earned 44 percent during last Sunday's loss to the Packers. Nevertheless, Swift has averaged 19.2 touches per game over the last nine outings after taking a season-low 10 back in Week 1.

Swift (groin), who is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Vikings, is trending towards playing, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
This makes sense given Swift was able to practice fully Friday, and evidently the running back didn't suffer any significant setbacks. The four-year back split plenty of carries with Roschon Johnson in the Week 11 loss to the Packers, but that likely could have been due more to game script than anything else. Expect official confirmation on Swift's game-time status to occur before the 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff.

Swift (groin) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Vikings after upgrading to full practice participation Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Swift is more likely than not to play, having upgraded from non-participation Wednesday to a limited practice Thursday to a full session Friday. If there's a late setback and he ends up inactive ahead of the 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff, Roschon Johnson will take over as Chicago's lead back.
