Cook (shoulder) is expected to suit up for Sunday's game against the Falcons, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Cook and top back Breece Hall (hamstring) are both listed as questionable for the Week 13 matchup, but the Jets expect to have both players available. In the five games since New York's bye week, Cook has surpassed two carries on only one occasion, though he did match his season-best mark with three targets in the Jets' Week 12 loss to the Dolphins. Cook's availability for Sunday's game will be confirmed when the Jets release their inactive list 90 minutes prior to the 1 p.m. ET kickoff.

Cook (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Falcons, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
EDGE Analysis
Cook popped up on the injury report after being limited in practice Friday, but coach Robert Saleh said earlier in the day that Cook "should be fine" for Sunday's game. Fellow running backs Breece Hall (hamstring) and Israel Abanikanda (illness) also are questionable, but Hall was a full participant in practice Friday, suggesting that he'll likely suit up and lead New York's backfield as usual. Cook hasn't had more than four touches in a game since Week 5.

Coach Robert Saleh noted Friday that Cook is dealing with a shoulder issue but "should be fine" for Sunday's game against the Falcons, Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Cook wasn't on the Jets' first two Week 13 injury reports, but it appears as though his shoulder may have flared up during or after Thursday's practice. The team's upcoming report will reveal whether Cook and/or Breece Hall (hamstring) head into the weekend with injury designations.

Cook rushed once for two yards and caught two of three targets for 19 yards in Friday's 34-13 loss to the Dolphins.
EDGE Analysis
Cook got three touches compared to 14 for Breece Hall, while rookie Israel Abanikanda finished without a touch. The status quo in the Jets' backfield is unchanged heading into a Week 13 matchup with the Falcons, with Cook locked in as the team's No. 2 running back but seeing minimal usage behind Hall.

Cook rushed twice for 13 yards and failed to catch his only target in Sunday's 32-6 loss to the Bills.
EDGE Analysis
Michael Carter's departure leading up to the Week 11 loss didn't result in additional touches for Cook. Breece Hall was held to 23 rushing yards on 10 carries and has failed to reach 30 rushing yards in any of New York's last three games, but the team's No. 1 running back was its leading receiver Sunday and scored all of the Jets' points with a second-quarter touchdown catch. Hall's well-rounded skill set allows him to play a three-down role, leaving limited opportunities for Cook to see the field.

Coach Robert Saleh said Friday that the team plans to give Cook a larger role moving forward, Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic reports. "I feel like his legs are alive," Saleh said of Cook. "Getting him a role is a priority."
EDGE Analysis
Cook rushed four times for 26 yards in New York's Week 10 loss to the Raiders, marking his most efficient outing as a Jet in terms of yards per carry. New York subsequently waived fellow running back Michael Carter on Tuesday, thus clearing a path for a few extra touches per game for Cook behind Breece Hall. Cook started the season in a near-even split with Hall but had been splitting limited playing time with Carter behind Hall in recent weeks. The veteran running back's season high in touches was 16 in Week 1 against the Bills, whom the Jets will face again Sunday.

Cook rushed four times for 26 yards and failed to catch his only target in Sunday's 16-12 loss to the Raiders.
EDGE Analysis
Cook tied his season long with a 10-yard run in the second quarter. He also had his most efficient outing on the ground as a member of the Jets, as Cook's previous single-game best was 4.0 YPC. Breece Hall was held to just 28 rushing yards on 13 carries, but Cook's limited usage despite Hall's struggles just highlights how large the gap in role between the two running backs has grown.

Cook rushed twice for seven yards and caught one of two targets for one yard in Monday's 27-6 loss to the Chargers.
EDGE Analysis
Cook has nine touches over the Jets' last three games, while Breece Hall has averaged 18.3 touches per game over that span. After mustering 59 yards from scrimmage in his Jets debut, Cook hasn't reached 30 yards in a game since, and that's unlikely to change barring an injury to Hall.

Cook rushed twice for five yards and wasn't targeted in Sunday's 13-10 overtime win over the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
After expressing frustration with his role during the week, Cook was once again used sparingly. Breece Hall was hardly better on the ground with 17 yards on 12 carries, but Hall had 76 yards and the Jets' lone touchdown as a pass catcher. Cook is averaging just 2.8 YPC, and only one of his nine catches this season has gone for a first down, so Cook hasn't done much to earn more touches at Hall's expense.

Cook said Thursday he will speak with Jets general manager Joe Douglas about a possible trade due to frustrations with his role on offense, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Cook, who has carried the ball just 39 times for 109 yards (2.8 YPC) across six appearances while hauling all nine of his targets for 46 yards, is now operating as the clear backup to Breece Hall after opening the season in a timeshare. The veteran back has just 10 touches over the last two games while Hall has 42, so frustrations with his reduced role are understandable, but Cook has shown little from a production standpoint to convince the coaching staff that he's deserving of more touches. It's possible that Cook earns a few more reps during Sunday's game against the Giants after making his grievances with his role public, but even if he were to officially request a trade, there's no guarantee teams around the league would be willing to part with much draft capital to bring him aboard.
