Davis (hamstring) was limited at practice Thursday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
We'll have to see if Davis upgrades to full participation in advance of Monday night's game against the Broncos, but John Glennon of The Athletic isn't surprised to see the wideout's name on the Titans' initial injury report. Per Glennon, Davis' hamstring "seems to nag at him at least a few weeks of every season." Assuming he's a go in Week 1, Davis is slated to start opposite top option A.J. Brown, who heads into the team's opener minus an injury designation.

Davis has put his offseason surgery behind him and is ready to earn his second contract, Cory Curtis of WKRN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Davis was in the spotlight this offseason when his fifth-year option was declined by the Titans. However, he's ready to move forward, as he's proven to be healthy since offseason toe surgery. Barring any setbacks, Davis should be ready for regular season action, but will likely work behind second-year receiver A.J. Brown for targets.

Davis (toe) looked explosive and made a number of catches during 7-on-7 drills Tuesday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Davis participated in his first practice Monday and was on the field again Tuesday. It was noted that he continued to look good physically, while also flashing some explosive playmaking ability. His availability on back-to-back days and participation in 7-on-7 drills continues to be a positive sign for his availability to begin the regular season.

Davis (toe) looked healthy in his first practice of the season, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Davis was activated off the PUP list prior to Monday's practice, the Titans first in full pads. He didn't receive many targets, but was credited with a nice diving catch on a pass delivered by Logan Woodside. Most importantly, it was reported that he looked fine running routes, a promising note for his availability to begin the regular season.

Davis (toe) passed a physical Monday morning and was removed from the PUP list, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
There hasn't been any suggestion of Davis not being ready for Week 1, but that doesn't mean he'll step right in as a full participant on his first day of practice. He's coming back from offseason toe surgery as he enters the fourth and final year of his rookie contract, presumably locked in for a starting job but without any assurance of steady target volume. The Titans declined the fifth-year option on his contract, following a 2019 campaign in which he was targeted only 69 times in 15 games. Davis did have career highs for catch rate (62.3 percent), yards per catch (14.0) and yards per target (8.7), but he was mostly an afterthought in the Tennessee offense once A.J. Brown broke through.

Davis is on the active/PUP list due to offseason toe surgery, Paul Kuharsky of 104.5 The Zone Nashville reports.
EDGE Analysis
Since he was selected in the first round of the 2017 draft, Davis hasn't been listed on the injury report with a toe issue, but the procedure was performed "on a troublesome big toe, from which doctors had to remove a piece." Despite his recovery extending into training camp, he's expected to be ready for a Week 1 game at Denver, where he'd be working as the No. 2 wide receiver behind second-year pro A.J. Brown.

The Titans placed Davis (undisclosed) on the active/PUP list Tuesday, John Glennon of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Davis has missed just one game the last two seasons, accruing 108 catches (on 181 targets) for 1,492 yards and six touchdowns. With the emergence of 2019 second-round pick A.J. Brown, Davis has been relegated to No. 2 receiver in a run-dominant offense. Now with an unknown injury in tow, Davis will attempt to get healthy with an eye toward a Week 1 contest in Denver.

Davis' fifth-year option was not picked up by the Titans, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
The No.5 pick overall in 2017 has had a rocky start to his career and will now be eligible to hit free agency after the 2020 season. Davis was surpassed by rookie A.J. Brown as the lead dog in the Titans' passing game in 2019 and his targets plummeted from 112 in 2018 to just 69. The Titans declining Davis' fifth-year option doesn't preclude them from working out a new contract next offseason, but it does send a clear message that the former Western Michigan receiver needs to get things turned around in a hurry.

Davis will likely remain the Titans' second receiver after the team did not meaningfully add to the receiving corps in the draft.
EDGE Analysis
Davis could be in his final season with the Titans, but he should retain a regular role in the offense in 2020. The team elected to not beef up the receiving corps in free agency or the draft, leaving Davis as a starting outside receiver in two-receiver sets. He'll look to bounce back from a disappointing 2019 campaign, though he'll still have to compete for targets with A.J. Brown and Adam Humphries.

Davis isn't likely to have the fifth-year option on his rookie contract picked up, John Glennon of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
The option would cost approximately $15.8 million, and while it's guaranteed for injury only, the Titans would be taking a big risk using it on a player with a career average of 44.5 receiving yards per game. Davis did finish 2019 with career highs for catch rate (62.3 percent) and yards per target (8.7), but he saw 43 fewer targets than he had in 2018, with the Titans offense running through Derrick Henry and A.J. Brown. Assuming the option isn't picked up, the 25-year-old wideout will be in the final season of his rookie contract in 2020.
