Kupp agreed Wednesday with the Rams on a three-year, $80 million contract extension, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 28-year-old was already under contract for the next two seasons for more than $29 million, and he's now set to receive nearly $110 million from the Rams over the next five years. Kupp was the most productive wide receiver in the NFL in 2021, catching 145 of 191 targets for 1,947 yards and 16 touchdowns in 17 games. He'll now get paid like one of the top receivers in the league.

Kupp brought in eight of 10 targets for 92 yards and two touchdowns and rushed once for seven yards during the Rams' 23-20 win over the Bengals in Super Bowl LVI on Sunday. He was also named Super Bowl MVP.
EDGE Analysis
Kupp delivered handsomely when it mattered most after what many felt was an MVP-worthy season, snagging a game-winning one-yard touchdown grab with 1:25 remaining. However, that memorable catch tells only part of the story for the fifth-year pro, who missed his first career opportunity to play in the Super Bowl after the 2018 season due to a torn ACL. Kupp also recorded an 11-yard touchdown reception early in the second quarter to give the Rams a two-possession lead at the time, and prior to his championship-clinching score, he had a clutch seven-yard rush on fourth down and catches of eight, 22 and eight yards on that final drive, as well as a four-yard touchdown reception nullified by offsetting penalties. Kupp could have arguably had an even bigger performance had Odell Beckham, who was commanding a good bit of attention with strong early-game play, hadn't exited for good in the first half with a knee injury. The Super Bowl MVP award Kupp earned with the performance is a fitting cap on a season that also saw him named Offensive Player of the Year and put together a stellar three-game playoff run in which he logged 25 receptions for 386 yards and four touchdowns.

Kupp was named the 2021 Offensive Player of the Year on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Kupp led receivers in all major categories, including receptions, yards and targets. He was also remarkably consistent, as he posted no performances with fewer than 64 yards or five receptions. In contrast to past seasons, Kupp combined both superior volume with big plays, as he averaged 13.4 yards per reception and also chipped in 30 catches that went for gains of 20 or more yards. Next up, Kupp will look to add the ultimate award and help lead the Rams to a Super Bowl victory over the Bengals on Sunday.

Kupp brought in 11 of 14 targets for 142 yards and two touchdowns and rushed once for minus-2 yards during the Rams' 20-17 win over the 49ers in their NFC Championship Game matchup Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
As he frequently did during his record-setting regular season and in the divisional-round win over the Buccaneers, Kupp dictated to an opposing defense to the tune of a dominating performance. The star wideout's afternoon did start on a sour note when a pass that partially glanced off his hands was intercepted by the 49ers' Jimmie Ward at the goal line to short-circuit the Rams' second drive. That would be about the only blemish on Kupp's performance, however, as he eventually complemented his 12th 100-yard effort since the start of the regular season with touchdown grabs of 16 and 11 yards in the second and fourth quarters, respectively. The fifth-year pro's 25- and 12-yard catches on what would be Los Angeles' game-winning drive proved a fitting cap to his stellar effort, one he'll now look to reprise in Super Bowl LVI against the Bengals on his home field Sunday, Feb. 13.

Kupp finished with nine receptions (11 targets) for 183 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 30-27 win over the Buccaneers.
EDGE Analysis
Kupp was in prime form against a Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense that was at full strength for the first time since Week 1. The MVP candidate got momentum going for the Rams in the first half when he took a deep pass from Matthew Stafford and then made a sharp juke to make two defenders miss en route to a long TD score. Kupp then put his signature on the playoff win when he burned the entire Bucs secondary on the final positive gain of regulation to set up kicker Matt Gay for the game-winning score. The 28-year-old did cough up a fumble that allowed Tom Brady to tie the game late, but the turnover barely puts a dent in what was a monster final fantasy line. Kupp and the Rams will now advance to the NFC Championship Game to take on the 49ers. The elite DFS option will surely weigh in as one of the most expensive picks next weekend after he torched San Francisco's weak secondary for 118 receiving yards, one touchdown and 18 rushing yards in the final game of the regular season.

Kupp caught five of seven targets for 61 yards and a touchdown in Monday night's 34-11 wild-card round win over the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
Kupp was uncharacteristically quiet in the first half, hauling in just one pass for five yards. The regular season's leader in catches, yards and touchdowns through the air got on track to begin the second half, though, scoring from seven yards to cap the Rams' first series. Kupp then showed off his run-after-the-catch ability on a couple grabs late, adding to his totals. Even though his overall output was still well below his regular-season standard, Kupp could grow in importance if Sunday's NFC divisional-round game versus the Buccaneers is more tightly contested than Monday's runaway victory.

Kupp corralled all seven of his targets for 118 yards and a touchdown while rushing for 18 yards on his lone carry in Sunday's 27-24 overtime loss to the 49ers.
EDGE Analysis
Kupp tied his season-low mark of seven targets that was set a week prior, but the talented wideout was still able to turn in a monster fantasy day. The 28-year-old finishes the regular season with 145 receptions, 1,947 yards and 16 touchdowns, placing himself firmly in the league's MVP discussion. Kupp's recent lowered target rate (by his gaudy standards) may have been tied to the Rams locking up a playoff spot two weeks ago and not wanting to burn out its star player. That said, it would make sense to see Kupp featured heavily in the first round of the NFC wild-card round.

Kupp caught six passes for 95 yards and one touchdown on seven targets against Baltimore on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
The Ravens succeeded in limiting Kupp's target volume -- his seven targets were tied with Odell Beckham behind Tyler Higbee's team-leading nine targets -- but they couldn't stop him on the targets he did draw. Normally, Kupp crushes both in regard to volume and efficiency, so it's something of a down game by his exceedingly high standards in this historic season for the wideout. Although Kupp (1,829 yards) finished his 16-game schedule a bit short of the single-season yardage record set by Calvin Johnson in 2012 (1,964 yards), he heads into Week 18 with a chance to pursue Megatron's record as the Rams take on the 49ers.

Sun 12/26/21 5:02 PM

Kupp recorded 10 receptions on 13 targets for 109 yards in Sunday's 30-23 win over Minnesota.
EDGE Analysis
Kupp failed to reach the end zone for the first time in his last three games, but that didn't stop him from another big performance. As has been the case, he was peppered with targets and was able to log double-digit receptions for the fifth time in 16 contests while also surpassing 100 receptions on the season. He made good use of that opportunity by turning in big gains of 37, 19 and 11 yards to top 100 receiving yards for the fourth consecutive game while also eclipsing 1,000 receiving yards for the campaign. Kupp should be in line for continued prolific production in a Week 17 matchup against a depleted Baltimore secondary.

Kupp had nine receptions (13 targets) for 136 yards and two touchdowns in Tuesday's 20-10 win over the Seahawks.
EDGE Analysis
Seattle's defense had no answer for the Stafford to Kupp connection, resulting in yet another monster fantasy showing from the breakout superstar. Kupp has now posted three straight games with both 100-plus yards and a touchdown, his second such streak this season. Odell Beckham's presence (1-7-0) continued to not affect the Rams' true top offensive weapon either. Kupp will carry spectacular averages of 8.7 receptions, 116.1 yards and a touchdown per game into next Sunday's tilt against the Vikings.
