Thompson (toe) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Lions.
EDGE Analysis
Thompson took a step forward this week by participating in practice on a limited basis on three occasions, but the Redskins likely want to see him put in a full workout before clearing him for game action. With Thompson sidelined for a fifth straight contest, Adrian Peterson, Derrius Guice and Wendell Smallwood should be in line to split the backfield snaps in Week 12, with Peterson and Guice representing the better bets to deliver fantasy value.

The Redskins aren't optimistic that Thompson (toe), who is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Lions, will be available to play, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Sidelined for the past four games with a sprained toe, Thompson put himself in the mix for a potential return this week after practicing in limited fashion from Wednesday through Friday. While Thompson isn't believed to have suffered any setbacks since he resumed practicing, the Redskins may be more inclined to see him put in an unrestricted session before clearing him for game action. His status for Week 12 will ultimately be determined after he goes through a pregame workout, but the early expectation is that he'll be included among the team's seven inactives. Official word on that front should arrive 90 minutes prior to the 1 p.m. ET kickoff.

Thompson (toe) remained limited at Friday's practice and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against Detroit
EDGE Analysis
Bill Callahan said he expects Adrian Peterson (toe) to play through a questionable tag, while the coach was less confident in Thompson's availability, Craig Hoffman of 106.7 The Fan Washington reports. Even if he does end up active, Thompson likely will be restricted to passing downs. Washington's inactive list will be available around 11:30 a.m. ET on Sunday.

Thompson (toe) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice.
EDGE Analysis
Thompson's participation level held steady from Wednesday, when he put in his first practice activity of any kind since suffering a turf toe injury in Week 6. While Thompson seems to be in a better spot on the health front compared to previous weeks, he may need to upgrade to full participation Friday in order to play Sunday against the Lions.

Thompson (toe) practiced in a limited capacity Wednesday, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Thompson has been listed as a non-participant on every Redskins injury report issued since Oct. 11, with the string of absences being the result of a turf toe injury suffered Week 6 at Miami. In his absence, Adrian Peterson handled the bulk of the backfield reps while gutting through various injuries, but second-year back Derrius Guice returned to action last weekend versus the Jets, turning eight touches into 69 yards from scrimmage and one touchdown. If Thompson gains clearance to play Sunday against the Lions, he would likely take on a pass-catching role out of the backfield. That said, the presence of Peterson and Guice hinders his potential to produce.

Thompson (toe) returned to practice Wednesday, Craig Hoffman of 106.7 The Fan Washington reports.
EDGE Analysis
While Thompson took the field, Adrian Peterson didn't, leaving some question marks for the Redskins' backfield as the team begins Week 12 prep. Derrius Guice fared well in his return to action last weekend versus the Jets, playing 28 percent of the offensive snaps en route to logging eight touches for 69 yards and a touchdown. There's no telling whether Thompson will be cleared to play this Sunday against the Lions, but if he does, it's a good bet he would take on a change-of-pace role behind Guice and/or Peterson.

Thompson (toe) is listed as out for Sunday's game against the Jets.
EDGE Analysis
Thompson was unable to make any notable strides in his recovery from the sprained toe this week, failing to practice in any fashion Wednesday through Friday. Though Thompson will be inactive for a fourth straight game, Washington will get some reinforcement in the backfield this week with the return of Derrius Guice (knee), who was reinstated from injured reserve. Interim coach Bill Callahan suggested earlier this week that Guice would serve as a change-of-pace option Sunday behind lead runner Adrian Peterson.

Interim coach Bill Callahan said Thompson (toe) is still sidelined, Ben Standig of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Until Thompson makes his first appearance at practice since picking up turf toe Week 6, he'll won't be a part of the Redskins' backfield plans. Expect Adrian Peterson to continue to lead the way, though second-year back Derrius Guice is slated to get plenty of opportunities as well, per JP Finlay of NBC Sports Washington.

Thompson (toe) has been ruled out for Sunday's game in Buffalo, Chris Brown of the Bills' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Thompson hasn't logged any level of practice participation since injuring his toe Week 6. Wendell Smallwood will continue to handle passing downs behind Adrian Peterson.

EDGE Analysis
Thompson has yet to practice since injuring his toe Week 6 at Miami. Despite this fact, he's considered day-to-day, per Ben Standig of The Athletic. Both Thompson and Adrian Peterson (ankle) haven't taken the field this week, which could give Wendell Smallwood and Craig Reynolds an opportunity to contribute this weekend in the event one or both are limited or sidelined.
