Edmonds carried five times for 58 yards and caught all seven of his targets for 84 yards Sunday in the Cardinals' 37-34 win over the Seahawks.
EDGE Analysis
Arizona had already been featuring Edmonds as its top pass-catching back this season, and the third-year player looks like he could be thrust into a lead role as soon as Week 9 against Miami after starter Kenyan Drake was carted off the field late in the fourth quarter with what appeared to be a serious ankle injury, according to Mason Kern of SI.com. Already in the midst of a strong game prior to Drake's departure, Edmonds has now upped his season averages to 6.1 yards per carry and 8.5 yards per reception. Edmonds is unlikely to maintain that lofty level of efficiency if he takes on a larger workload, but he would still project to have a high fantasy ceiling as the starter in this dynamic offense. Arizona is entering its bye week, but Edmonds should be a high-priority target on the waiver wire in the event Drake's ankle injury keeps him sidelined heading into Week 9.

Edmonds had five carries for 23 yards and one reception (on two targets) for six yards during Monday's 38-10 win at Dallas.
EDGE Analysis
Game flow helped starting running back Kenyan Drake match his season high with 20 rushes, which translated into 164 yards and two touchdowns. Edmonds himself logged a typical offensive snap share (37 percent), but his 29 yards from scrimmage marked his second fewest of the campaign. With an average of 7.2 touches per game in 2020, he's difficult to rely upon weekly in many formats.

Edmonds carried the ball three times for 36 yards and a touchdown and caught five of six targets for 56 yards in Sunday's 30-10 win over the Jets.
EDGE Analysis
While Kenyan Drake saw 19 touches to Edmonds' eight, it was the latter who led the Arizona backfield in yardage as he dashed for a 29-yard TD in the first quarter and added a 30-yard reception in the second. It was Edmonds' best yardage total yet this season and he's making a strong case for a bigger workload, but he may not need many touches to make an impact in Week 6 against a porous Dallas defense.

Edmonds notched four carries for 16 yards and gathered in five of six targets for 24 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 31-21 loss at Carolina.
EDGE Analysis
Edmonds' snap share (37 percent) wasn't out of the ordinary, but he matched his season high in touches and reached the end zone for the second time this season. Meanwhile, starting running back Kenyan Drake had an injury scare late in Sunday's contest, but on Monday it was revealed he merely had the wind knocked out of him. In the end, Edmonds should maintain his usual workload moving forward, barring something happening to Drake.

Edmonds compiled three carries for 13 yards and caught both of his targets for 21 yards during Sunday's 26-23 loss to the Lions.
EDGE Analysis
Edmonds' touch count has decreased in each game this season, as he earned nine Week 1 and six Week 2 before five this past Sunday. He hasn't exactly been productive either, turning 20 touches into 92 yards from scrimmage and one TD. With his share of the offensive snaps hovering in the low-to-mid 30s, Edmonds' workload isn't enough to make him a consistent producer behind Kenyan Drake, who himself has yet to surpass 100 yards from scrimmage in a given game and has scored just one touchdown.

Edmonds tallied three rushes for four yards and gathered in three of four targets for nine yards during Sunday's 30-15 win versus Washington.
EDGE Analysis
After playing 28 snaps on offense and scoring a TD on nine touches in the Cardinals' Week 1 victory at San Francisco, Edmonds logged 27 such plays but didn't find pay dirt on six touches one week later. Meanwhile, starting running back Kenyan Drake has racked up 108 offensive snaps and scooped up most of the backfield work (40 total touches). Edmonds will make the occasional splash play, like he did in the season opener, but as long as Drake is healthy, the former will have outings like Sunday's more often than not.

Edmonds carried six times for 26 yards while catching three of five targets for 19 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 24-20 win over the 49ers.
EDGE Analysis
Edmonds didn't do much on the ground outside of a 20-yard gain, but he did manage to get his team on the board with a 10-yard receiving touchdown in the first quarter. The production was likely a pleasant surprise for Edmonds' fantasy managers, as he wasn't expected to play much of a role in this one given the team's other offensive weapons. He remains a worthy backup to Kenyan Drake, but he seems unlikely to produce bankable fantasy numbers in next Sunday's home matchup against Washington.

Edmonds has some competition for backfield reps after the Cardinals drafted Eno Benjamin in the seventh round of the 2020 NFL Draft, Scott Bordow of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
A fourth-round pick in 2018, Edmonds could feel some heat for reps behind starter Kenyan Drake, who received the transition tag this offseason and is in talks with the Cardinals on a long-term contract. As evidence, Edmonds only received two touches in the five games in which both he and Drake were on the roster during the 2019 campaign. Additionally, Edmonds has averaged just 24.8 yards from scrimmage per game in 29 pro appearances, while Benjamin accrued 3,335 yards from scrimmage over his final two seasons at Arizona State.

Edmonds had 60 carries for 303 yards, 12 receptions (on 21 targets) for 105 yards and five total touchdowns in 13 games during the 2019 season.
EDGE Analysis
Edmond got a chance to act as the Cardinals' lead running back for one contest, dashing 27 times for 126 yards and three TDs against the Giants in Week 7. Otherwise, he seemingly was an afterthought in the offense, especially after a midseason hamstring injury coincided with Kenyan Drake's arrival in Arizona. Drake enters the offseason as an unrestricted free agent, but his dynamic performance may have endeared himself to the team's brass. In any case, the Cards will head into the new league year with just Edmonds and David Johnson as RBs under contract.

Edmonds had a nine-yard carry and didn't haul in either of his two targets during Sunday's 23-17 loss to the Steelers.
EDGE Analysis
Since sitting out three games and using the Cardinals' Week 12 bye to get past a hamstring injury, Edmonds has lost all sway he may have built up earlier in the season. Over the last two contests, he's logged just 11 offensive snaps -- all of them Sunday -- while Kenyan Drake (90) and David Johnson (37) handled the vast majority of RB reps. Without an injury to that duo, Edmonds is unlikely to make a regular impact out of Arizona's backfield.
