Edmonds (ankle) was working out on a side field during the portion of Thursday's practice open to the media, suggesting he'll be listed as a non-participant for the session, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury indicated Wednesday that Edmonds would likely be a game-time decision for Sunday's tilt with the Eagles, so the running back's lack of activity with the main group for a second straight day isn't too surprising in that context. Should Edmonds' ankle injury prevent him from suiting up Week 15, top back Kenyan Drake would likely take on a heftier snap share after playing between 45 and 56 percent of the Cardinals' offensive plays in each of the past five weeks.

Coach Kliff Kingsbury said Edmonds (ankle) will be a game-time decision for Sunday's contest against the Eagles, Kevin Zimmerman of ArizonaSports.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Edmonds made a surprise appearance on Wednesday's practice report as a non-participant due to an ankle injury. When acting as Kenyan Drake's direct backup this season, Edmonds has averaged 8.4 touches per game in those 12 outings. If those reps suddenly are up for grabs, it's anyone's guess who among Jonathan Ward (shoulder), rookie seventh-rounder Eno Benjamin or practice squad member D.J. Foster would be in line for those snaps.

Edmonds didn't practice Wednesday due to an ankle injury, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Edmonds is among the more utilized No. 2 running backs in the NFL, averaging 8.4 touches per game in the 12 contests in which starter Kenyan Drake has been active this season. Meanwhile, the only other Cardinals running back to garner touches in 2020 -- D.J. Foster with two -- resides on the practice squad. There's no indication that Edmonds is in danger of sitting out Sunday versus the Eagles, but his status now is of interest as the Cardinals prepare for Week 15.

Edmonds turned seven carries into 32 yards and four catches (on five targets) into 21 yards during Sunday's 26-7 road win against the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
Working behind starting running back Kenyan Drake, Edmonds continues to hover around 10 touches weekly en route to 57.8 yards from scrimmage per game and four touchdowns in 13 outings. Edmonds also earned almost as many offensive snaps as Drake -- 40 versus 44 (of 79) -- while the latter had 24 touches Sunday. Due to his versatility, Edmonds will continue to be a regular in the Cardinals offense, but his standing as the No. 2 RB hurts his ceiling.

Edmonds recorded six carries for 28 yards and two catches (on six targets) for 15 yards during Sunday's 38-28 loss to the Rams.
EDGE Analysis
As the Cardinals have become increasingly pass-heavy during their current three-game losing streak, Edmonds' target count has experienced an appreciable boost (five targets per game during that stretch, versus 3.6 prior to that point). Still, he's recorded two of his four lowest receiving yardage totals in that span. Due to the game script dictating more passing, though, Edmonds earned more offensive snaps than starting running back Kenyan Drake -- 37-29 -- and the former also reeled off a 54-yard kick return that helped set up Arizona's final TD of the day. As long as Drake is healthy, Edmonds will find it difficult to reach 10 touches per game (he's done it three times in 11 games with Drake active).

Edmonds had six carries for 29 yards and four catches (on five targets) for 14 yards during Sunday's 20-17 loss at New England.
EDGE Analysis
On a day in which the Cardinals couldn't get much going through the air -- Kyler Murray averaged a measly 5.0 yards per attempt -- Edmonds' slight contribution as a receiver helped him finish third among the team's skill-position players with 43 yards from scrimmage. Only Kenyan Drake (93) and DeAndre Hopkins (55) compiled more such yards. In the 10 games that Drake has been available this season, Edmonds has averaged 8.2 touches for 56.7 total yards per game while scoring four TDs, so the latter still has utility when used as a complementary option out of Arizona's backfield.

Edmonds rushed twice for 13 yards, brought in all four targets for 36 yards and a touchdown and returned five kickoffs for 100 yards in the Cardinals' 28-21 loss to the Seahawks on Thursday night.
EDGE Analysis
The versatile running back put his skill set on full display in the losing effort, with the highlight of his night coming on a three-yard touchdown grab early in the fourth quarter to cap off a 15-play, 90-yard march. Edmonds did see his lowest rushing workload of the season, although he'd come close to matching Thursday's sparse usage with a trio of three-carry games earlier in the campaign. The 2018 fourth-round pick now have multiple receptions in four straight contests and has crossed the goal line three times as a receiver on the season, which continues to give him fantasy utility in deeper full PPR formats. He'll look to put together another productive effort versus the Patriots in a Week 12 road tilt on Sunday, Nov. 29.

Edmonds carried the ball eight times for 56 yards and caught all three of his targets for 21 yards in Sunday's 32-30 win over the Bills.
EDGE Analysis
Despite the return of Kenyan Drake to the lineup, Edmonds still saw double-digit touches and put together a productive afternoon. The duo will likely continue to share the load in the Cardinals' backfield in Week 11 against a porous Seahawks defense that just gave up three rushing TDs to the Rams.

Edmonds carried 25 times for 70 yards and caught all three of his targets for an additional 18 yards during Sunday's 34-31 loss to the Dolphins.
EDGE Analysis
With Kenyan Drake (ankle) sidelined, Edmonds received nearly as many carries in this one as he had in the first seven games combined. Despite facing a favorable matchup on paper, the typically efficient back averaged just 2.8 yards per carry and couldn't break off any big gains in the passing game. Edmonds will likely be the featured back again next Sunday against the Bills and will look to take advantage of his favorable role in one of the NFL's more potent offenses.

Edmonds is in line to headline the Cardinals backfield with Kenyan Drake slated to miss "a few weeks" due to a high-ankle sprain, Kyle Odegard of the team's official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
With the help of Drake's departure in the fourth quarter of an eventual overtime win against the Seahawks on Sunday, Edmonds handled a season-high 61 percent of the Cards' offensive snaps en route to 12 touches for 145 yards. Edmonds reeled off a 32-yard run, 21-yard catch-and-run and another 18-yard reception among his opportunities, which leaves him with a healthy 6.1 yards per carry and 6.9 yards per catch on the season. If Edmonds bumps up from his own 7.9 touches per game closer to Drake's 18 during the latter's absence, he'll be a must-start in the short term. Any reps that remain will be taken by 2020 seventh-rounder Eno Benjamin, undrafted rookie Jonathan Ward and potentially practice-squad RB D.J. Foster.
