Coleman (undisclosed) was released by the Saints on Sunday with a failed physical designation, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Coleman opened up training camp on the PUP list, and while reported surfaced last week on Coleman being close to 100 percent, it's clear the veteran wide receiver just could never get right. Coleman still can be a quality wide receiver at just 26 year's old, so he likely won't have trouble finding a new home once he is medically cleared.

Coleman (undisclosed) is nearing a return to action, Josh Katzenstein of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Coleman landed on the Physically Unable to Perform list earlier this week but little has been revealed regarding the cause for his absence. Per the report, Coleman was spotted with a helmet in hand at Saturday's practice which serves as a good sign moving forward. The 26-year-old figures to provide some added depth to the New Orleans receiving corps in 2018.

The Saints placed Coleman (undisclosed) on the PUP list Tuesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Since logging a veritable redshirt season in 2014 as an undrafted free agent, Coleman has been active for all 48 regular-season games in the meantime. However, he missed the Saints' divisional-round loss to the Vikings in January due to a neck injury. The exact nature of the current concern is unknown, but Coleman won't be on the practice field when training camp opens Thursday.

Coleman will re-sign with the Saints, Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Coleman opened the offseason as a restricted free agent but was made an unrestricted free agent after the Saints declined to extend him a qualifying offer. However, it turns out that Coleman won't be going anywhere, and he'll rejoin a New Orleans depth chart that recently added Cameron Meredith (knee) to slot in as the No. 3 wideout behind starters Michael Thomas and Ted Ginn. That means Coleman is likely set to compete with the likes of Willie Snead and Tommylee Lewis for one of the final roster spots at receiver.

Coleman didn't receive a tender from the Saints, Nick Underhill of The Baton Rouge Advocate reports.
EDGE Analysis
Coleman thus becomes an unrestricted free agent, coming off a 2017 campaign in which he caught only 23 passes despite serving as the Saints' No. 3 receiver for most of the year. The 2014 UDFA was efficient with his limited opportunities the past three years in New Orleans, producing 8.8 yards per target while scoring on eight of his 79 catches. The Saints are devoting most of their cap space to Drew Brees and the defense, perhaps setting up an offensive-minded draft. Coleman should find an opportunity to compete for a depth receiver job elsewhere.

Coleman, who did not play in the Saints' 29-24 NFC divisional-round loss to the Vikings due to a neck injury, finished the 2017 regular season with 23 receptions for 364 yards and three touchdowns.
EDGE Analysis
Coleman appeared in all 16 games for New Orleans and the three touchdowns tied a career high. An excellent run blocker, Coleman saw substantial playing time as the Saints' No. 3 receiver but the former Rutgers product was generally an afterthought in the passing game. Coleman is only 24 years old and will be an restricted free agent this offseason. At 6-foot-6, another team could sign him with in hopes of turning him into a dangerous red-zone target. However, if Coleman returns to New Orleans next season he will probably need an injury to one of the receivers ahead of him on the depth chart (Michael Thomas and Ted Ginn) in order to make a significant fantasy impact.

Coleman (neck) has been ruled out for Sunday's playoff game against the Vikings.
EDGE Analysis
With Coleman -- who hauled in four passes for 44 yards in last weekend's wild-card win over the Panthers -- unavailable this week, Willie Snead figures to see added opportunities in the Saints offense Sunday, while working behind Michael Thomas and Ted Ginn.

Coleman didn't practice Wednesday due to a neck injury, Larry Holder of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Since posting at least 30 receiving yards in five of the Saints' first nine contests, Coleman compiled a minuscule eight receptions (on 13 targets) for 82 yards the rest of the regular season. Due to the scarce attention paid to him by Drew Brees during that span, Coleman's outing Sunday against the Panthers came as a surprise. Targeted first among Saints skill-position players, Coleman hauled in four of five passes for 44 yards by game's end. There's no guarantee he'll be as involved in Sunday's divisional-round matchup at Minnesota, but first he must ditch his injury in order to have any chance to replicate the previous performance.

Coleman caught four passes on five targets for 44 yards in Sunday's 31-26 playoff win against the Panthers.
EDGE Analysis
The Saints' No. 3 receiver was targeted on Drew Brees' first pass of the game and remained involved throughout the victory. In fact, Sunday's contest marked the most yards Coleman has accrued since Week 7 and most catches since Week 2. Coleman has a tendency to disappear in games, which often makes him a risky fantasy choice in many leagues. However, as the playoff field and corresponding fantasy options dwindle, desperate owners could do worse than the 6-foot-6 receiver, despite a difficult test against a tough Vikings secondary next week.

Coleman (neck) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game in Tampa Bay, Jenna Laine of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Coleman was limited at practice all week but should be fine to handle his usual role as the Saints try to clinch their division. He didn't draw any targets last week and hasn't topped three receptions in a contest since Week 2.
