Coleman caught two passes for 31 yards, including a 22-yard touchdown, in Sunday's win against the Packers.
EDGE Analysis
Targeted only three times, Coleman managed to haul in his third touchdown this season. The former undrafted free agent is playing a ton of snaps right now, as Coleman's 54 offensive snaps on Sunday were only six fewer than Michael Thomas but 15 more than Ted Ginn. Still, the 6-foot-6 receiver remains somewhat of an afterthought in the passing game. Arguably the best blocking receiver on roster -- which helps explain his substantial snap count -- Coleman should continue to see plenty of playing time. However, until he becomes a more consistent part of the Saints passing attack, Coleman will likely continue to be a touchdown-dependent dart throw in most fantasy leagues.

Coleman caught two passes on four targets for 23 yards in Sunday's win against the Lions.
EDGE Analysis
Coleman outsnapped Willie Snead, who was making his first appearance of the season, but the big receiver managed very little production in a weird game where Drew Brees only passed for 186 yards, despite the Saints scoring 52 points. The Saints face a susceptible Packers secondary in Week 7, but Coleman remains a risky fantasy option.

Coleman caught one pass on one target for 31 yards in Sunday's win against the Dolphins.
EDGE Analysis
Coleman saw plenty of playing time -- he was on the field for 54 of the Saints' 74 offensive snaps -- but received only one target for the second week in a row. The 6-foot-6 receiver still has some red-zone potential, but with the Saints on bye in Week 5 and Willie Snead (hamstring) likely to return to the lineup soon, Coleman can probably be left on the waiver wire in most fantasy leagues.

Coleman caught the only pass thrown his way for an 11-yard touchdown in Sunday's win against the Panthers.
EDGE Analysis
Coleman played 46 of 58 offensive snaps -- the same number as Michael Thomas and 12 more than Ted Ginn -- but was only targeted once in the game. To be fair, no player other than Thomas saw more than three targets, as Drew Brees connected with a bevy of different receivers before leaning heavily on the run game in the second half. At 6-foot-6, Coleman has shown a nose for the end zone, with both his scores this season coming on red-zone targets. However, with Willie Snead returning from suspension next week, the big receiver could see his playing time scaled back, making him a risky fantasy option in Week 4 against the Dolphins.

Coleman caught four passes on six targets for 82 yards, including a five-yard touchdown, in Sunday's loss to the Patriots.
EDGE Analysis
Coleman was one of the few bright spots for the Saints, as he made a couple of big plays in the passing game for a stagnant New Orleans offense. Moreover, he actually saw his playing time increase from Week 1, garnering 58 offensive snaps (89 percent) against the Patriots -- the same amount as No. 1 receiver Michael Thomas and substantially more than Tedd Gin (43 snaps). Coleman's playing time is likely to take a hit once Willie Snead returns from suspension, but with Snead still sidelined for another week, Coleman could be a sneaky fantasy play in Week 3 against the Panthers for risk-tolerant owners who are willing to stomach his week-to-week inconsistency.

Coleman caught two passes on three targets for 13 yards in Monday night's loss to the Vikings.
EDGE Analysis
In addition to catching only two passes, Coleman dropped what would have been a red-zone touchdown in the third quarter. There was some thought that Coleman might emerge as a viable fantasy option while Willie Snead serves a three-game suspension, but the results from Monday night were not promising. That said, Coleman was actually on the field for 48 of the Saints' 62 offensive snaps and even played six more snaps than starter Ted Ginn, so there's hope that he may yet make an impact. The Saints host the Patriots in Week 2.

Coleman hauled in both of his targets for 44 yards in Saturday's 13-0 preseason win over the Texans.
EDGE Analysis
Coleman is primed for an uptick in opportunity now that Brandin Cooks' departure has presumably opened up some targets. The third-year wideout has been drawing plenty of praise throughout the summer for his work, and Saturday's production certainly helped make a strong case for additional playing time. Coleman currently slots in as the fourth option behind the trio of Michael Thomas, Ted Ginn and Willie Snead, but given the frequency with which the Saints throw the ball, he should still experience a bump in the 38 targets he saw last season.

Coleman has drawn rave reviews so far in training camp, with backup quarterback Garrett Grayson labeling him the MVP of camp, reports the New Orleans Times-Picayune. Coleman said he gained about 10 pounds this offseason and is now up to about 230 pounds. The fourth-year receiver added the weight before organized team activities and said he feels more explosive with the extra bulk.
EDGE Analysis
According to starting quarterback Drew Brees "there's really not a guy who I have more trust in than Brandon Coleman, honestly." While flattery is typically the norm during training camp, the praise heaped on Coleman is in stark contrast to comments about his offseason performance last year, when head coach Sean Payton called Coleman's camp "pedestrian." Exactly how Coleman's training camp performance will impact his role, however, is still to be determined. Michael Thomas will likely be the No. 1 receiver, and Willie Snead is the best bet to be No. 2. Meanwhile, free agent acquisition Ted Ginn is also expected to have a substantial role in the offense based on Payton's past deployment of similar speedy receivers. As it stands, Coleman still likely sits fourth on the Saints' wide receiver depth chart and will need to continue to show improvement to his game if he hopes to see significant playing time.

Coleman has signed a one-year, $615,000 tender with the Saints, Josh Katzenstein of NOLA.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Coleman will consequently stay in New Orleans through the 2017 season. The third-year wideout was relatively quiet in the passing game last year, recording 26 catches for 281 yards and three touchdowns. Coleman was more valuable in the rushing game, where he served, and will continue to serve, as one of New Orleans' best run-blocking wide receivers.

Coleman caught one pass on three targets for eight yards in Week 17 against the Falcons. He finished the year with 26 catches for 281 yards and three touchdowns.
EDGE Analysis
Coleman finished 2016 with a whimper, catching only one pass over the season's final three games. Playing his second full season in New Orleans, consistency was an issue for the 6-foot-6 receiver, who struggled with drops and was never able to rise about fourth on the Saints' wide receiver depth chart. Coleman flashed some play-making ability on occasion, particularly in the red zone, but if the restricted free agent returns to New Orleans, playing time may again limit his opportunities in 2017.
