Bernard Scott (hamstring) returned to 11-on-11 drills Tuesday.
Yesterday marked the oft-injured Scott's first full team practice in pads of training camp. He's the unquestioned backup to Cedric Benson, but the Bengals have shown a hesitancy to utilize his talents. That doesn't figure to change this year.

Bengals RB Bernard Scott has missed most of training camp with a hamstring injury.
Scott is too often nicked up, which is why the coaching staff has been hesitant to hand him a major offensive role. Though he's the Bengals' most explosive outside runner, Scott won't have fantasy value barring an injury to Cedric Benson.

Coach Marvin Lewis is accepting blame for not getting Bernard Scott enough touches last season.
Scott's game-breaking potential went to waste while Cedric Benson toted the rock 321 times at 3.5 yards per rush. Bengals backs carried the ball just 391 times last season versus 452 in 2009. With Lewis recommitted to the ground game, Scott could double his 61 carries from 2010. He's still without weekly fantasy value barring an injury to Benson.

Bernard Scott is "unlikely" to take over as the Bengals' feature back if free agent Cedric Benson signs elsewhere, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer's Joe Reedy.
Reedy and Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com have long cited durability concerns in the belief that Scott is more of a complementary piece. In the event of a Benson exit, the Bengals will explore other options such as Michael Bush, Ronnie Brown, and perhaps Joseph Addai.
