Erickson signed with the Texans' practice squad Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Erickson played in the final three regular-season games for the Patriots this season, seeing work as a return man. He'll now latch on with the Texans, filling a hole on their practice squad left by Jared Wayne's elevation to the active roster.

Erickson reverted to New England's practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.
EDGE Analysis
Erickson got his third straight elevation ahead of Sunday's Week 18 matchup against the Bills and saw action on offense for the first time this season, logging 14 offensive snaps without getting any targets. He also worked as the Patriots' primary return man, returning one kick for 16 yards and two punts for 26 yards. After catching 16 passes for 232 yards and one touchdown over eight games with the Chargers last year, Erickson was a free agent for most of the 2024 campaign, as he didn't latch on with New England's practice squad until mid-December.

New England elevated Erickson from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday, Chris Mason of The Springfield Republican reports.
EDGE Analysis
Erickson accumulated 90 kick return yards and 15 punt return yards during the Patriots' Week 17 loss to the Chargers. He's exclusively played on special teams over the past two weeks and will likely reprise that role during Sunday's regular-season finale against the Bills.

The Patriots elevated Erickson from their practice squad to the active roster Friday ahead of Saturday's matchup against the Chargers, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Erickson has been elevated for the second straight week since signing with the Patriots' practice squad Dec. 18. Last Sunday against Buffalo, he logged seven snaps, all of which came on special teams. Erickson figures to work primarily in that role again Sunday, as New England's wideout corps is relatively healthy.

Erickson reverted to the Patriots' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's official transaction log.
EDGE Analysis
Erickson was elevated to the active roster prior to Sunday's loss to the Bills, logging seven snaps on special teams, recording one punt return for no yards and two fair catches. The wide receiver will likely be elevated again to appear in the team's Week 17 matchup with the Chargers.

Erickson was elevated from New England's practice squad Saturday ahead of Sunday's game against the Bills.
EDGE Analysis
Erickson just joined the organization Wednesday. He likely doesn't know the playbook well enough yet to contribute significantly on offense as a wide receiver, but Erickson also has extensive experience as a return man and could be deployed in that special teams role.

New England signed Erickson to its practice squad Wednesday, Mark Daniels of MassLive.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Erickson appeared in eight games with the Chargers in 2023, but he's spent the whole of the 2024 season so far in free agency. The Patriots have arguably the most shallow group of wide receivers in the league, so it's not out of the question that he could find his way onto the field before the year ends.

Erickson caught two of his five targets for 29 yards in the 13-12 loss to the Chiefs on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
The 31-year-old joined the active roster Week 11 and, after injuries to Joshua Palmer (knee) and Keenan Allen (heel), somewhat miraculously emerged as the team's top target. finishing with 16 receptions for 232 yards, both of them higher figures than his past three seasons combined. It's safe to say the veteran won't be a highly sought-after free agent despite the positive small sample size, but it's possible Erickson could at least make a preseason roster given his special teams acumen.

Erickson made seven receptions on eight targets for 98 yards in Sunday's 16-9 loss to the Broncos.
EDGE Analysis
A slew of injuries to the Chargers' receiving corps opened the door for Erickson to secure a bigger role on offense in recent weeks. The undrafted Wisconsin product took full advantage of that opportunity Sunday, when he finished as his team's leading receiver across the board. The Chargers aren't getting healthier anytime soon, so Erickson should have another opportunity to put his skills on display against the Chiefs in Week 18.
