Erickson reverted to the Chargers' practice squad Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Erickson was elevated ahead of Sunday's game against the Bears but ended up being inactive, as Joshua Palmer (knee) ended up being able to play. Erickson has now appeared in two games this season but has failed to record any stats while playing exclusively on special teams.

The Chargers elevated Erickson to the active roster Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
It's the first time Erickson has been called up from the practice squad since joining the Chargers on Aug. 30. The move could be a precautionary one, with Joshua Palmer (knee) listed as questionable for Sunday's contest against the Bears.

Erickson was signed to the Chargers' practice squad Wednesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Erickson was a preseason standout for the Jets, but was unable to make it on their final 53-man roster. He spent his first six seasons with the Bengals before spending the majority of 2022 on Washington's practice squad. The Wisconsin product will now look to adapt in Los Angeles and work to make an impression at practice.

Erickson was released by the Jets on Monday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Erickson had an impressive preseason in New York, which included two touchdown receptions in the exhibition finale. Still, it was not enough to make it through final cuts and onto the 53-man roster. The veteran pass catcher figures to have suitors elsewhere if he does not end up on the Jets' practice squad.

Erickson caught all five of his targets for 38 yards and two touchdowns in Saturday's 32-24 preseason win over the Giants. He also had a six-yard punt return.
EDGE Analysis
Erickson will likely end up as either one of New York's final cuts at wide receiver or just sneak onto the roster when the Jets trim the team to 53 players Tuesday. He did all he could to bolster the chances of the latter outcome in the preseason finale, catching every pass thrown his way while getting into the end zone twice. Both of Erickson's touchdowns were thrown by third-string quarterback Tim Boyle.

Erickson received reps with the starters in practice Wednesday and has a chance to secure a roster spot with the Jets following Corey Davis' announcement that he's stepping away from football, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Davis out of the picture, the Jets will have one or possibly two open roster spots at wide receiver behind Garrett Wilson, Allen Lazard (undisclosed), Mecole Hardman and Randall Cobb. Erickson is competing for those openings against undrafted rookies Jason Brownlee and Xavier Gipson. Given the 30-year-old's edge in experience and his ability to contribute in the return game on special teams, Erickson likely has an inside track on making the team.

Erickson caught one of two targets for 19 yards and returned two punts for 45 yards in Thursday's 21-16 preseason loss to Cleveland.
EDGE Analysis
Erickson's catch came in the two-minute drill in the first half, and he provided a fourth-quarter spark by breaking off a 36-yard punt return. The 30-year-old wide receiver's ability to contribute on special teams has him in contention for a spot on the back end of New York's 53-man roster, though he's still fighting an uphill battle in that regard heading into the team's second preseason game, Aug. 12 against the Panthers.

Erickson signed with the Jets on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Erickson spent the 2022 season with the Commanders, though he appeared in only two games. He has served primarily on special teams across the last few campaigns, and his best chance to make the team could come as a kick or punt returner.

The Commanders released Erickson on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Erickson made just two appearances, exclusively on special teams, for the Commanders in 2022 and signed a reserve/futures contract at the end of the campaign. However, he's been let go following a wave of undrafted free agent signings and will head into the summer as a free agent. The Wisconsin product is mostly known for his return prowess, as he's topped 200 receiving yards just once (2019) in his seven-year career.

The Commanders signed Erickson to a reserve/future contract Monday.
EDGE Analysis
The undrafted product out of Wisconsin made two appearances for the Commanders this season, operating exclusively on special teams. The veteran wideout caught 43 passes for 529 yards across 16 appearances with Cincinnati in 2019, but he's mostly known for his abilities as a return man. With his new contract, he'll have a chance to compete for a roster spot heading into next year's training camp.
