Barton finished Sunday's 130-119 loss to the Lakers with zero points (0-5 FG, 0-3 3Pt), one rebound, five assists and one block in 22 minutes.
EDGE Analysis
Barton was a non-factor once again in the loss, continuing what has been a terrible start to the season. Despite playing a relatively consistent role off the bench, he has simply been unable to get anything going on either end of the floor. While there is upside for him to be a top-100 asset, based on what we have seen thus far, he can be safely left on the wire, even in deeper formats. Barton's current 7.4 points per game would mark his lowest average since the 2014-15 season.

Barton logged two points (1-4 FG), one assist and one steal over 14 minutes during Wednesday's 113-107 loss to Brooklyn.
EDGE Analysis
Barton was held without a rebound for the first time this season during Wednesday's loss, and he was unable to prop up his fantasy value in other areas against the Nets. He's been held to single-digit scoring totals in four consecutive matchups and has averaged 5.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 19.8 minutes per game during that time.

Barton registered 13 points (5-10 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT), seven rebounds, seven assists and one steal over 29 minutes during Wednesday's 113-105 loss to Miami.
EDGE Analysis
Barton scored in double figures for the first time since Nov. 10 against Dallas, and he also dished out a season-high seven dimes. The Memphis product has struggled to consistently produce of late, as he was averaging 4.8 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.6 assists in his last five contests prior to Wednesday's clash.

Barton supplied zero points (0-2 FG, 0-1 3Pt) and one rebound in eight minutes during Friday's 107-106 overtime win over the Heat.
EDGE Analysis
Barton hit a new low in this one, contributing only a rebound and playing just eight minutes, marking the first time he didn't reach double-digit minutes on the year. At his point, Barton may be a drop candidate in some fantasy formats, though things could change if he's dealt or injuries surface for the Wizards.

Barton racked up 14 points (4-12 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 3-3 FT), seven rebounds, four assists and one block across 29 minutes during Thursday's 113-105 win over Dallas.
EDGE Analysis
Barton has been inconsistent recently, but he tallied a season-high seven rebounds while matching his second-highest totals of the season in points and assists during Thursday's win. Although the 31-year-old has maintained a bench role early in the year, he's seen his fair share of playing time, averaging 24.6 minutes per game. It's a decrease from when he averaged 32.0 minutes per game over his final three seasons with the Nuggets, but his role with the Wizards still allows him to sport some fantasy upside.

Barton chipped in six points (3-10 FG, 0-3 3Pt), six rebounds and one assist across 27 minutes during Monday's 108-100 win over the Hornets.
EDGE Analysis
Barton has been sporadic to start his Wizards tenure, scoring in double figures just four times in his first 11 appearances. The veteran wing is shooting 38.9 percent from the field and 35.0 percent from three. He's playing 24.0 minutes per game, so despite his struggles, Barton has a clear role in Washington's rotation. He'll look to snap out of his slump against the Mavericks on Thursday.

Barton racked up three points (1-8 FG, 1-4 3Pt), three rebounds, three assists and one steal across 19 minutes during Friday's 128-86 loss to Brooklyn.
EDGE Analysis
Barton turned in arguably his worst performance of the season Friday, continuing what has been an uninspiring start to his Wizards career. He has managed to score in double digits only three times thus far while adding very little on the defensive end. Given his role appears to be somewhat up in the air, he can be dropped in most standard formats.

Barton produced 16 points (6-9 FG, 4-6 3Pt), two rebounds, four assists, one block and two steals across 29 minutes during Tuesday's 120-99 win over the Pistons.
EDGE Analysis
Barton was the biggest beneficiary of Bradley Beal's back problem, and he took advantage of the opportunity to deliver his best scoring output of the campaign. Beal is healthy and will likely be available Friday against the Pacers, which means Barton's minutes will regress a bit, but he's still a decent flyer in some formats due to his scoring ability and three-point shooting. The fact that he's played at least 25 minutes in all but one game suggests he has a stable role off the bench for Washington.

Barton will come off the bench for Wednesday's season-opener against Indiana, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
The general expectation was that Barton would hold down the small forward spot alongside Bradley Beal and fellow-ex-Nugget Monte Morris, but Washington will instead roll with Deni Avdija at one forward spot next to Kyle Kuzma. It's very possible that the Wizards experiment with different alignments early on, so the situation will be worth monitoring for the next couple of weeks. Regardless of whether he's starting or coming off the bench, Barton should still be a key piece in coach Wes Unseld Jr.'s rotation.

Barton closed with 10 points (4-10 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 0-1 FT), six assists, one rebound, one steal and one block in 25 minutes during Monday's 116-107 preseason victory over the Hornets.
EDGE Analysis
Barton was far from outstanding in the win, yet he was still able to chip in across the board. Despite the change in scenery, Barton should be able to replicate his numbers from last season, placing him firmly in the discussion as a late-round fantasy asset with a relatively safe floor.
