Barton left Sunday's game after spraining his ankle and didn't practice Monday, so it's not surprising to see the veteran forward unlikely to play Tuesday. If Gary Trent (elbow) is also ruled out, Jeff Dowtin and Malachi Flynn would be candidates for increased roles in the backcourt.

While Barton was unable to practice a day after suffering a left ankle sprain, head coach Nick Nurse downplayed the severity of the injury and said he doesn't expect the 32-year-old to be out long. In his first game with Toronto Barton scored 15 points and nabbed six rebounds over 27 minutes but has averaged just 2.4 points and 1.2 rebounds in 10.2 minutes per game since. Expect him to hold a role closer to his first outing Wednesday.

EDGE Analysis
While Barton has been able to play minutes on a regular basis since arriving in Toronto, he remains well off the fantasy radar, even in deeper formats. His decline has been something to behold, going from a top-90 player last season to outside the top 300 in 2022-23. Clearly, managers need not waste their time paying any attention to the situation in Toronto.

EDGE Analysis
Barton played just 11 minutes in the win, continuing what has been a rapid fall from grace this season. Even a recent trade to Toronto has done nothing to improve his fantasy appeal, now sitting well outside the top 300 for the season. Quite clearly, he should not be on the radar in any format.
