EDGE Analysis
Barton sprained his left ankle during Sunday's overtime win over the Pelicans, but Nuggets head coach Michael Malone said after the game that the issue doesn't appear to be too serious. Nuggets head coach Michael Malone said after Sunday's 138-130 overtime win over the Pelicans that the sprained left ankle Barton sustained in the contest doesn't appear too serious, Mike Singer of The Denver Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Before exiting with the injury, Barton tallied nine points (3-7 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT), four rebounds, three assists and two steals in 24 minutes. Though initial evaluations of Barton's injured ankle are promising, the 31-year-old still looks uncertain to play in the second half of the Nuggets' back-to-back set Monday versus Golden State. If Barton is out, Denver would likely turn to a committee of Austin Rivers, Bryn Forbes and Bones Hyland to cover his minutes.

Barton is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Pelicans due to a left ankle sprain.
EDGE Analysis
Barton went to the locker room early in the fourth quarter of Sunday's matchup, and it's not yet clear whether he'll be available down the stretch. If he's unable to return, Bryn Forbes and Bones Hyland should see increased run.

Barton finished with six points (1-10 FG, 0-9 3Pt, 4-4 FT), seven rebounds, five assists and one steal across 26 minutes Wednesday in the Nuggets' 119-107 loss to the Thunder.
EDGE Analysis
Barton has been limited to just nine points between his last two games, largely a result of his ice-cold shooting from downtown. He's gone 0-for-14 on three-point attempts during that two-game stretch, dropping his season-long rate from 37.3 percent to 35.7. Barton's track record suggests he should bounce back sooner or later, and a matchup Friday with a Hornets squad that allows the second-most three-pointers per game (13.9) represents a good opportunity for 31-year-old to correct course.

Barton posted 31 points (11-17 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 6-6 FT), five rebounds, three assists and one block in 32 minutes during Thursday's 128-110 victory over the Kings.
EDGE Analysis
Barton started the second half of the campaign with a flourish, recording a season-high point total with an efficient 11-of-17 shooting line. The veteran guard added five rebounds, marking the sixth time in his past eight games that he has pulled down at least five boards. From a fantasy perspective, Barton's strengths are his 15.2 points and 2.2 three-pointers per game, but at 5.0 rebounds per contest he also provides a fair amount of boards from the shooting guard position.
