Barton had 19 points (8-16 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 11 rebounds, one assist and one steal in 37 minutes of a 109-106 loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Barton turned in his first double-double of the season as he continued to produce as a member of the starting line-up. If he's going to continue to see extensive playing time, he has the ability to continue to fill up the box score. Denver plays at New Orleans on Thursday.

Barton ended with 19 points (3-8 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 11-12 FT), five rebounds, two assists, two steals, and one block in 31 minutes during Wednesday's 108-100 victory over Portland.
EDGE Analysis
Barton was in the starting lineup for their season-opener, putting up a beautiful all-around line in 31 minutes. This was arguably better than any performance from last season and certainly puts him on the radar in standard leagues. Many would have taken a chance on Barton with their last pick, however, chances are he is still on a number of waiver wires. Obviously we shouldn't expect this type of production every night but if he is going to see in excess of 30 minutes, the numbers will likely follow suit.

EDGE Analysis
The Nuggets will go with Barton for Wednesday's season opener. In 43 games last year, the eight-year forward averaged 11.5 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 27.7 minutes.

Barton finished with 13 points (5-10 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-6 FT), eight rebounds, four assists, and one steal in 22 minutes during Thursday's 110-104 preseason victory over the Trail Blazers.
EDGE Analysis
Barton had his best game of the preseason Thursday, putting up decent contributions across the board. He appears to be battling with Torrey Craig for the starting small forward spot and was clearly the better of the two in this one. From a fantasy perspective, Barton is actually better suited to a bench role. Either way, he is more of a late-round flier until has proves otherwise.

Barton will start Thursday's preseason game against the Clippers, Chris Dempsey of the Nuggets' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Barton will join the starting five for the second straight contest, as Torrey Craig is set to come off the bench. Nothing is set in stone just yet, but it would appear that Barton is currently winning the battle for the starting job at small forward.

Barton ended with seven points (3-7 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT), four rebounds and two assists in 16 minutes during Tuesday's 105-94 preseason victory over the Trail Blazers.
EDGE Analysis
Barton started in the first preseason game for the Nuggets, finishing with seven points in 16 minutes. The biggest takeaway is that Barton was even on the floor given the fact it was a meaningless game. He appeared healthy and engaged, something that was quite obviously lacking last season. He is battling for the starting small forward position but to be honest, coming off the bench might put him in the best spot to put up fantasy value.

Barton (hamstring) will be active for Tuesday's preseason contest against Portland, Mike Singer of The Denver Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Barton had been nursing a hamstring injury, but he'll be an option for coach Mike Malone on the wing. More interestingly, Malone noted that he's yet to decide who will begin the year as the starter at small forward, saying that no one has emerged as the top option thus far. Barton figures to be in the thick of that competition along with Torrey Craig, Malik Beasley, and perhaps even Michael Porter, Jr.

Barton (hamstring) will participate in Friday's closed scrimmage, T.J. McBride of MileHighSports.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
This is encouraging news for Barton, who is apparently in an open competition for the small forward job. For now, he should be considered questionable for Tuesday's preseason matchup against the Blazers.

Coach Michael Malone said Thursday was the most Barton (hamstring) has practiced since the start of training camp, Harrison Wind of BSNDenver.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Barton wasn't a full participant Thursday, though he did take part in some of the competitive portions of practice, which is a step in the right direction. He's been limited so far due to a minor hamstring injury.

Coach Michael Malone said Barton (undisclosed) has been limited during the first two days of camp due to a minor injury, Chris Dempsey of the Nuggets' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
According to Harrison Wind of BSNDenver.com, Barton has been withheld from contact drills so far in camp as he nurses an undisclosed injury that's reportedly unrelated to the hip/groin injury that plagued him for a chunk of last season. Torrey Craig and Juancho Hernangomez are both getting reps at small forward in Barton's absence.
