Barton was hot from distance and rebounded nicely from his five point (2-11 FG, 1-8 3Pt) showing against the Lakers on Tuesday. While owners may be disappointed by the lack of a boom, no Denver player logged more than 26 minutes and eight scored in double-figures. Barton is currently locked into a starting role for the division-leading Nuggets.

Barton finished with five points (2-11 FG, 1-8 3Pt), six rebounds, four assists and one steal in 37 minutes Tuesday in the Nuggets' 105-96 loss to the Lakers.

EDGE Analysis

As a high-volume outside shooter, Barton's production can be very erratic, and this represented one of his worse outings of the season. He's now gone 2-for-14 from distance over the last two games, but his accuracy rate still sits at a career-high 39.5 percent for the campaign. If that mark eventually veers closer to his 34.4 percent career rate, Barton's overall fantasy production could start to look a little more hollow.

Barton compiled 14 points (6-15 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 12 rebounds, five assists and two steals in 41 minutes during Saturday's 100-97 loss to Sacramento.

EDGE Analysis

Barton ended with a 14-and-12 double-double Saturday, continuing his strong start to the season. He is back to the form he showed two seasons ago, contributing in a number of categories on any given night. He is sitting right around the top-60 mark and should remain a solid mid-round guy moving forward.

Barton dished out a season-high eight dimes while chipping in across every category except steals. He has bounced back after a down year in 2018-19, and he's currently managing a career-high per-game average in rebounding while maintaining career-high shooting percentages from the field and beyond the arc.

Barton posted 22 points (8-18 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds, four assists and one steal across 32 minutes in Sunday's 116-104 win against the Suns.

EDGE Analysis

Barton is enjoying one of the best seasons of his career, most notably posting personal-best marks in shooting (45.4 percent on field-goal attempts, 45.6 percent on three-point tries). After an inconsistent 2018-19 season, the 28-year-old has been very dependable this year, reaching double digits in scoring in all but two games.

EDGE Analysis

Barton ultimately wasn't forced to miss any action on account of the left adductor injury that rendered him questionable heading into Sunday, but coach Michael Malone elected to limit the swingman's minutes nonetheless. Assuming he experiences no setbacks coming out of the game, Barton should be available to take on more minutes with the Nuggets' next contest not until Wednesday against the Rockets. Before Sunday's relative dud of a performance, Barton had averaged 17.2 points, 8.8 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 2.2 triples and 1.2 steals in 36.0 minutes over the previous five contests.

Barton (hip) is expected to play Sunday against Memphis, Chris Dempsey of Altitude Sports reports.

EDGE Analysis

Barton is technically listed as questionable, but it looks as though he's trending more toward probable as tip off approaches. The veteran has enjoyed a nice bounceback season thus far, having scored at least 13 points in all but one contest through his first nine games. He's coming off of a 17-point effort in Thursday's win over the Nets.

Barton is questionable for Sunday's matchup against the Grizzlies due to left adductor tightness, T.J. McBride of MileHighSports.com reports.

EDGE Analysis

Barton is having a bounceback season for the Nuggets, averaging 15.8 points, 7.7 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.2 steals in 33.1 minutes. If he's unable to play Sunday, Torrey Craig, Malik Beasley and Michael Porter could see extra minutes.

In eight appearances, Barton's averaging 15.6 points, 7.9 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 2.1 threes and 1.4 steals in 32.5 minutes.

Barton had 20 points (8-12 FG, 2-4 3PT, 2-3 FT), seven rebounds, two steals, one assist and one block during Friday's 100-97 win against the Sixers.

EDGE Analysis

After missing two games last week, Barton has returned on a strong note -- he is shooting 59 percent from the field and 75 percent from three-point range in those two contests. While those figures are unsustainable going forward, it's worth noting Barton has looked quite comfortable as a starter, scoring in double figures in five of his six appearances so far.
