Wesley Matthews (irregular heartbeat) underwent an electrical cardioversion procedure to return his heartbeat to normal on Wednesday.
He's listed as day-to-day and since his heartbeat returned to normal, it doesn't sound serious. Even though no injury is exactly the same, teammate LaMarcus Aldridge missed the first eight days of the 2011 training camp to get his irregular heartbeat corrected. Matthews should be considered questionable for the season opener next week and shouldn't be moved down too far in rankings until further notice.

Wesley Matthews missed part of Wednesday's practice with an illness on Wednesday.
He was able to return from his thigh injury earlier this week and is one of many players around the league getting sick. He could miss time in the preseason, but his status for the season opener should not be affected by this news. Matthews can rack up the steals and threes for owners, and he's also been sliding in drafts.

Wesley Matthews (illness) is sitting out of practice on Tuesday.
The team said he's "under the weather" and he's not on the court. The Blazers play on Wednesday, which makes Wes questionable to play in that game. There were rumors that C.J. McCollum could push Matthews for his starting job, but with the rookie out indefinitely with a foot injury, Matthews should have a similar chance to produce this season.

Wesley Matthews could compete with C.J. McCollum for the starting shooting guard spot.
When head coach Terry Stotts was asked if any positions were up open, he said "probably not." To be clear, Matthews is a strong favorite to lock down the job, but it's worth mentioning since McCollum has been turning heads over the summer. The rookie could get minutes as the sixth man, but Mo Williams' presence doesn't help his case. Matthews is a solid pick in the late-middle rounds, but we're not expecting him to duplicate his stats from 2012-13.

Wesley Matthews (elbow) has been cleared to shoot following surgery.
Matthews had arthroscopic surgery in late May, so it's great news that he's already been cleared to shoot and has had the stitches removed. He's expected to be full strength well before training camp arrives.

Wesley Matthews received a PRP injection in his right ankle this offseason.
Matthews is using the offseason to put his body back together. He had left (non-shooting) elbow surgery Wednesday and the PRP injection suggests that his ankle was healing too slowly. Neither injury is considered serious.

Wesley Matthews underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left elbow on Wednesday, and his expected recovery time is 3-4 weeks.
A minor procedure for Matthews, who had debridement cleared out of the elbow. The good news is it's not his shooting arm, so we have plenty of confidence he'll be ready to play long before training camp begins.

Wesley Matthews has been told to stay off his ankle for about a month.
Matthews sustained a pretty severe sprain on April 7 and missed the final five games of the season. It's not a long-term concern. He'll return next season as the clear-cut starting shooting guard once again. Matthews ranked fifth in the league in 3-pointers made per game in 2012-13 at 2.4 a night. Only Steph Curry, Ryan Anderson, Klay Thompson and Kyle Korver averaged more.

Wes Matthews (ankle) is questionable to play on Wednesday vs. the Warriors.
Matthews sat out on Tuesday, and because he hasn't played since April 7, it would be a surprise to see him push the issue and return for the finale. Will Barton will likely draw another start.

Wesley Matthews (ankle) will not play in Tuesday's game against the Clippers.
Matthews hasn't played since badly rolling his ankle against the Mavs on April 7. He hasn't been ruled out of the finale, but there's little reason for him to force it. Rookie backup Will Barton is averaging 14.7 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists in three starts this year.
