An MRI showed no structural damage in Tim Duncan's knee or ankle and he is listed as day-to-day.
Duncan officially has a sore left knee and a 'mild' sprain in his right ankle. The Spurs will almost certainly play it safe with their prized big man, which leaves him up in the air for Wednesday's game, but this is nearly a best-case scenario considering how bad the injury could have been. Tiago Splitter will be the primary beneficiary if Duncan misses more games, with extra minutes for guys like Boris Diaw, Matt Bonner and DeJuan Blair.

Tim Duncan was diagnosed with a sprained right ankle and a sprained left knee after Saturday's game.
He'll be re-evaluated Sunday and will likely have an MRI to confirm the diagnosis. Spurs doctors told Wizards coach Randy Wittman after the game that Duncan "is going to be fine," but his injury comes on the heels of a four-game absence and there's a good chance he'll miss some time. Gregg Popovich isn't going to play his star big man at anything less than 100 percent, so Duncan owners should be planning to sit him while hoping his MRI comes back clean. The good news is that the Spurs are off until Wednesday.

Tim Duncan has been diagnosed with a sprained right ankle and a sprained left knee, and he will not return on Saturday.
Duncan went down awkwardly with his leg trapped under another player's body, so this is about as positive an update as we could have hoped for. The Spurs' next game is Wednesday at Minnesota, which gives him some time to rest, but owners should start considering their alternatives for the Spurs' upcoming three-game week. Duncan's owners should check back on Sunday, as presumably he'll have an MRI to rule out further damage.

Tim Duncan (knee) was helped off the court on Saturday after Martell Webster rolled over his left knee.
The injury looked very ugly, but Timmy was able to put some weight on the leg and he was even limping without assistance in the tunnel. The Spurs will be cautious with Duncan no matter what the inevitable test results say, and Tiago Splitter's must-own status is underscored by this injury.

Tim Duncan (knee) is listed as probable to play on Saturday.
As long as nothing freakish happens between now and tipoff, Duncan will wind up missing four games with the knee injury, and his return will send Boris Diaw back to the bench. Before going down, Duncan had been playing well in January with averages of 16.8 points, 10.1 rebounds and 3.5 blocks on 49.6 percent shooting.

Tim Duncan (knee) is hopeful that he'll be able to play on Saturday after practicing on Thursday.
Duncan said that he could have played on Thursday, but the Spurs were being cautious with him. Duncan has now missed four straight games, but it sounds like he's got a legitimate chance to return on Saturday.

Tim Duncan (knee) has been ruled out again on Wednesday.
Duncan was reportedly progressing in the right direction, but it turns out that he hasn't done enough to get back into the lineup. Gregg Popovich will be back coaching the team, but Duncan will be replaced in the lineup by Boris Diaw once again. The biggest beneficiary of Duncan's absence has been Tiago Splitter, who should have another solid game on Wednesday.

Tim Duncan (knee) is questionable to play on Wednesday against the Bobcats, but Coach Gregg Popovich will return to the sidelines.
Pop had been away from the team due to an illness, but he's feeling better. Duncan, meanwhile, is still having issues with his knee and could be rested against the Bobcats. If Duncan does sit, Tiago Splitter should have another solid game.

Tim Duncan (knee) will not play against the Suns on Saturday.
It will be his third missed game with a sore left knee and the Spurs obviously won't rush back the 36-year-old former MVP. The good news is the Spurs are off until Wednesday following Saturday's home game, so Duncan should have enough time to recover. Tiago Splitter is a must-start option while DeJuan Blair is coming off a season-high 22 points and is a possible spot-start.
