Steve Nash (hip, back, hamstring), Steve Blake (hamstring), Jodie Meeks (ankle) and Metta World Peace will not play against the Spurs on Sunday. The Lakers went with a starting backcourt of Darius Morris and Andrew Goudelock in Friday's ugly loss and they'll be going with that unit again. Nash has been a letdown for most of the season in his worst year in over a decade and his best days are long gone. He's under contract for the next two seasons.

Steve Nash (hip, back, hamstring) will not play against the Spurs on Friday. He was doubtful for the game and Nash was badly hobbling in Game 2. He might not be ready for Game 4 on Sunday, but Mike D'Antoni is optimistic that Nash could be ready. The Lakers are in dire straits in the backcourt with Jodie Meeks and Steve Blake also out. LA will go with a starting unit of Darius Morris, Andrew Goudelock, Metta World Peace, Pau Gasol and Dwight Howard. They will have their hands full with Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili.

Steve Nash (hip, back, hamstring) and Jodie Meeks (ankle) are both listed as doubtful for Friday's Game 3 against the Spurs. Facing an 0-2 hole, the Lakers are in big trouble. Steve Blake (hamstring) is also out, leaving a probable starting five of Andrew Goudelock, Darius Morris, a hobbled Metta World Peace, Pau Gasol and Dwight Howard. Nash took another epidural shot on Thursday after aggravating his injuries on Wednesday. Even if he is able to gut it out, it's clear that his mobility will be a liability on both ends.

Steve Nash received two epidurals in his back and a cortisone shot in his hip on Thursday, and he's doubtful to play in Game 3 on Friday. Steve Blake (strained hamstring) is out indefinitely and Jodie Meeks (ankle) is questionable, which means Darius Morris and Chris Duhon may be the last guards standing as L.A. attempts to erase an early 0-2 deficit vs. the Spurs.

Steve Nash admitted that this season has been "far and away the worst season for injuries I have ever been a part of personally and professionally." Nash hasn't been fully healthy all season long, and it's possible his disappointing first year in Los Angeles is now over after aggravating his hamstring injury in a Game 2 loss to the Spurs. He admitted that his hamstring got worse as the game went on, and the Lakers are now down 0-2 in the series. Nash is extremely questionable to be ready for Friday since he's planning on having a third epidural on Thursday, and with Steve Blake (hamstring) also looking iffy at best, it's possible Chris Duhon and/or Darius Morris starts at point guard for the Lakers on Friday.

Steve Nash left Wednesday's Game 2 loss against the Spurs after being limited by his bum hamstring throughout the night. Steve Blake also left early with a strained right hamstring, and the Lakers will be forced to rely upon Andrew Goudelock and Darius Morris if Nash and Blake don't look a lot better as Game 3 tips off. Nash finished with just nine points and six assists in 31 minutes of the loss.

Steve Nash (hamstring), who is expected to start Game 2 on Wednesday, admitted he's in a "fair amount" of discomfort and isn't "moving like normal." At this point, it's very obvious Nash isn't fully healthy and won't be for however long the Lakers last int he postseason. "It is what it is," he said. "I'm going to have to fight through some soreness, some pain." Nash participated in a light workout on Monday after Sunday's game which is a somewhat promising sign, but his health is anything but a sure bet to hold up. It's fair to wonder how different Nash's year would have been if it weren't for the freak play where he broke his leg in the second game of the regular season.

Lakers coach Mike D'Antoni says Steve Nash will play in Game 2 on Wednesday. Nash returned from hip and hamstring injuries during Sunday's Game 1 but admitted after the game he's far from 100 percent. With two full days off prior to Game 2, it's possible Nash could see an uptick in his health before Wednesday night. However, it's unlikely he'll be anywhere close to healthy until next season.

Steve Nash, who hit 6-of-15 shots and three assists in Sunday's Game 1 loss, isn't fully healthy after returning from hip and hamstring injuries. "I'm not myself," he said after the game. "I'm not moving that well, and I'm struggling a little bit." You can say that again. Nash will hopefully see his health improve prior to Game 2, as the Lakers clearly need him at 100 percent against a strong San Antonio team.

Steve Nash (hip, hamstring) returned from his injuries in a Game 1 loss to the Spurs, shooting 6-of-15 from the field for 16 points with two boards and three assists in 29 minutes. It's pretty easy to see that Nash isn't all the way back, but he's been a disappointing signing for the Lakers all season. After not averaging less than 10.7 assists per game over his previous three seasons, Nash had just 6.7 in his first season in LA. It won't take Gregg Popovich long to make Nash an even a bigger liability in this series.
