Steve Nash has been ruled out for Sunday's matchup against the Spurs. Mike D'Antoni called Nash's situation "tricky" on Saturday, which suggested the former MVP didn't have much of a shot to play on Sunday. The Lakers are optimistic he will play on Wednesday, but it may be in a limited capacity. Steve Blake will start and he'll get all the minutes he can handle while running the offense with Pau Gasol Gasol being the focal point. Blake is a must-start player while Jodie Meeks should also see a ton of playing time at shooting guard.

Steve Nash (hamstring) remains a game-time decision vs. the Spurs on Sunday. Steve Blake will start at PG if Nash can't suit up, with Jodie Meeks playing SG now that Kobe Bryant (Achilles) is done for the season. The Lakers vs. Spurs game starts at 9:30 ET, the latest tip-off in Sunday's eight-game schedule.

Steve Nash (hamstring, hip) is a game-time decision for Sunday's game against the Spurs. The Lakers could certainly use Nash with Kobe Bryant out. He's been out for six games and he might not see his usual 32.5 minutes per game. Steve Blake should get minutes at point guard and shooting guard even with Nash back, so he should remain owned in most leagues.

Steve Nash (hamstring) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Warriors. Nash must be really hurting if he's sitting out again. This will be his sixth straight game with a DNP due to the injury, and the Lakers are in a must-win scenario as they fight for the eighth seed out west. Steve Blake will start at point guard with Kobe Bryant tasked to run the offense again on Friday.

When describing his injured hamstring, Steve Nash said, "it feels like when you go to use it, it grabs." "You let up because you feel like you're going to tear it," he added. These are not the kind of quotes the Lakers want to hear right now, and although he's tentatively targeting a return on Friday, he's going to have to do a lot of healing to have a realistic shot of playing vs. Golden State. The team is apparently waiting until Nash is 100 percent, but he is unlikely to be full strength until next season.

Steve Nash (hip, hamstring) will not play against the Blazers on Wednesday. He was doubtful to suit up and this will be his fifth game on the sidelines. The 39-year-old Nash should be considered questionable for Friday's game against the Warriors, but there has been some optimism that he'll be able to play. Steve Blake will pick up most of the minutes while Kobe Bryant will have the ball in his hands a ton.

Steve Nash (hip, hamstring), who is doubtful to face the Blazers on Wednesday, is eyeing a return against the Warriors on Friday, a source told ESPN Los Angeles. The source categorized Nash's chances of playing on Wednesday "slim," but that's pretty obvious considering he was designated with the doubtful tag on Tuesday. More interestingly, Nash has switched to a "new, stronger medication in hopes of alleviating the pain associated with the right hip injury that has been causing him hamstring problems." The Lakers need Nash back as soon as possible, but with him out, Steve Blake will continue to start.

Steve Nash (hip, hamstring) is out for Tuesday and doubtful for Wednesday. When you're 37 years old, soft-tissue strains don't heal like they used to. In a best-case scenario, Nash would return Friday against the Warriors. Backup Steve Blake is averaging 8.3 points, 5.0 assists, 2.3 3-pointers and 1.0 steals in the three games since Nash went down.

Updating a previous item, Steve Nash (hip, hamstring) has been officially ruled out of Tuesday's game against the Hornets. This was expected and now it's official. Steve Blake will draw another start at point guard but it will be up to Kobe Bryant to set the table on offense. Nash will travel to Portland for Wednesday's game against the Blazers.

Steve Nash (hamstring) is "not ready yet," according to Mike D'Antoni, and he is doubtful to play on Tuesday. Nash is "going through some stuff," which doesn't really give us an idea of just what he's dealing with. All we know is he's got issues with his hip and hamstring, and Tuesday will be his fourth straight DNP after lasting just two minutes against the Kings on March 30. Steve Blake will continue to start at point guard with Kobe Bryant doing the facilitating and playing heavy minutes.
