Kilpatrick was waived by the Bulls on Thursday.

Kilpatrick bounced around the NBA last season, seeing short stints with the likes of the Nets, Clippers, Bucks and Bulls. However, he ended the season with Chicago, who gave him a multi-year contract after he averaged 15.4 points, 2.8 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 2.1 three-pointers across the final nine games of the season. Despite the strong finish, the Bulls are looking to open up a roster spot and Kilpatrick's contract for the 2018-19 campaign wasn't guaranteed, so he's been released. Look for the 28-year-old guard to try and latch on elsewhere as a depth option in the backcourt, though no matter where he lands, Kilpatrick is unlikely to become fantasy relevant.

Kilpatrick managed 6.3 points, 1.7 rebounds and 0.9 assists over 52 games played with the Nets, Clippers, Bucks and Bulls in 2017-18.

Kilpatrick bounced around during his fourth NBA season but found a home with the Bulls late in the year. The 27-year-old finished the season strong as he scored in double-figures in nine of the last 10 games and was arguably the Bulls' best player during the streak. It's up to the Bulls if they want to keep Kilpatrick though, as he has a team option of around $2 million for next year.

Kilpatrick tallied 14 points (5-10 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four assists and two rebounds in 29 minutes during Wednesday's 119-87 loss to Detroit.

EDGE Analysis

Kilpatrick finished off the season with another good performance, scoring in double-figures for the seventh consecutive game. He has been arguably the Bulls most consistent player over the last two weeks and has certainly earned himself some consideration for making the roster next season.

Kilpatrick will start Wednesday's game against Detroit, Mike McGraw of the Daily Herald reports.

EDGE Analysis

The 28-year-old journeyman will move into the starting five in place of Justin Holiday as the Bulls play what's ultimately a meaningless game against a fellow non-playoff opponent. Kilpatrick has been productive off the bench of late, averaging 19.0 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.8 made threes over his last five contests.

Kilpatrick accounted for 20 points (7-14 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT), four rebounds, one assist and one steal across 22 minutes in Saturday's 124-96 loss to the Nets.

EDGE Analysis

Kilpatrick once again paced the Bulls in scoring off the bench, generating his third straight 20-point tally in the process. The 28-year-old is shooting an impressive 49.1 percent on a robust average of 14.3 shot attempts in four April contests, and he's displaying the same type of aggressiveness on offense that he often did while during the prior two seasons i particular with the Nets. Kilpatrick's scoring contributions and solid allotment of playing time (24.8 minutes in four April games) makes him an appealing DFS play as the Bulls finish out their final two games of the season.

Kilpatrick totaled 24 points (8-13 FG, 5-7 3Pt, 3-4 FT), three rebounds and one steal in 25 minutes during Friday's 111-104 loss to the Celtics.

EDGE Analysis

Kilpatrick finished with a season-high 24 points including five triples. The Bulls have no real incentive to play any one guard over the other and so as long as Kilpatrick is shooting the ball well, he should be able to see a nice amount of playing time. He is worth a look if you need points but beware, he doesn't offer much outside of scoring.

Kilpatrick scored 21 points (7-17 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 4-5 FT) while adding three assists and two blocks in 29 minutes off the bench during Tuesday's 120-114 win over the Hornets.

EDGE Analysis

The journeyman has turned into a key member of the Bulls' second unit over the last three games, averaging 16.0 points, 3.3 boards, 2.3 assists and 2.3 three-pointers in 26.0 minutes over the last three games. Given all the injuries in Chicago's backcourt, it seems likely that Kilpatrick will continue seeing a larger workload than expected over the team's final four games.

Kilpatrick produced 13 points (2-11 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 7-8 FT), four rebounds and two assists across 25 minutes during a 90-82 win over the Magic on Friday.

EDGE Analysis

Despite struggling with his shot, Kilpatrick had his best game since being acquired by the team. He was able to overcome the poor shooting by getting to the free throw line a season-high eight times. Kilpatrick looks like he's going to try to get plenty of shots up to close out the season, but he's nothing more than low-end streaky scorer.

Kilpatrick will sign a three-year, $6.2 million contract with the Bulls, Shams Charania of Yahoo! Sports reports.

EDGE Analysis

Kilpatrick has spent time with the Nets, Clippers and Bucks this season, but was unable to stick around long-term with any of those organizations. He'll now head to Chicago on what is essentially deal to keep him around for the rest of the 2017-18 season. The Nets then hold team options for the next two years, which means Kilpatrick will have to show some upside for the last few weeks of this season and throughout training camp next year in order to stick on the roster. Look for Kilpatrick to offer depth in the backcourt, especially with the likes of Kris Dunn (toe), Zach LaVine (knee) and Antonio Blakeney (wrist) all out.

A complication has emerged in Kilpatrick's negotiation process with the Celtics, and he's no longer expected to sign a 10-day deal with the team, Mark Murphy of the Boston Herald reports.

EDGE Analysis

Kilpatrick was set to join the Celtics earlier Saturday, but the former Cincinnati standout has apparently received a more appealing offer from another NBA team, so for the time being, his deal with Boston won't be completed. Stay tuned for further details as they emerge.
