Samuel Dalembert blocked four shots against the Rockets on Wednesday, adding six points, 10 boards and two turnovers in 32 minutes. He has nine blocks in his last three games and his minutes have increased in each of his last two games. Dalembert's playing time could eventually take a hit upon the return of Brandan Wright, so those that want to bolster their blocks might want to remember that if they're going to cut someone with better long-term prospects than Sammy D.

Starting center Samuel Dalembert was brought off the bench to begin Monday's game, but started the second half and finished with eight points, 14 boards and three blocks. Rick Carlisle started Jae Crowder (two points, 1-of-8 FGs) to try and match up with the Sixers' small lineup, but quickly realized his mistake and rectified things in the second half. For his part, Dalembert has been a serviceable low-end center this season with Brandan Wright out.

He did most of his damage in the first quarter and might be a decent big-man option in fantasy leagues. He's available in a ton of leagues, but his inconsistency is a reason for that. But as long as he's starting for the Mavs, he's worth keeping a close eye on going forward.

Samuel Dalembert started and played 27 minutes, but finished with just four points, nine rebounds and a block Wednesday. The rebounds were fine, but Sammy will struggle at times offensively, and tonight was one of those times. He should block more than one shot per game and is worth owning as long as he's starting for the Mavs. Just beware that he could take a hit once Brandan Wright is back from his shoulder injury.

Samuel Dalembert had his best game of the preseason with 13 points, seven boards, three blocks and two steals in 25 minutes on Monday. It's not often that a center has his best game against Dwight Howard, and Dalembert has been productive for most of this month, averaging 8.2 points, 6.8 boards and 2.4 blocks in just 21.8 minutes. With Brandan Wright sidelined due to a shoulder injury, Dalembert could get his first season in Dallas off to a fast start.

This is exactly what the Mavs are looking for out of Sammy D, and exactly what he has been delivering for most of the preseason. When you need a shot-blocking center late in your draft, Dalembert is your guy.

Samuel Dalembert started at center Wednesday and hit 4-of-6 shots for 11 points, seven rebounds and two blocks in 20 minutes. He was knocking down some elbow jumpers and the Mavs would be thrilled to get this line from Dalembert every night. Once the end of your draft rolls around and the premier centers are gone, Dalembert could end up being a very useful pick up if he can stay healthy.

Samuel Dalembert (back) said he feels "fine" after receiving anti-inflammatory medication, but Rick Carlisle openly questioned his conditioning. "I just told him in front of the whole team that he's got to keep working," said Carlisle. "We need his minutes ... When he's in shape, he's a factor as a rim protector and rebounder." Dalembert was also suffering from a "case of the sniffles" during Monday's awful performance, when foul trouble and turnovers limited him to just 11 minutes of action, but we won't list him on the injury report unless he sits out practice or an exhibition

Samuel Dalembert said that he played through a back issue on Monday night. He scored four points with two boards in 11 minutes against the Pelicans. Dalembert said he sustained the injury in the team's first practice, but this is the first we've heard of the ailment. He is going to start, so he has value toward the end of drafts even though he will share minutes with Brandan Wright.

Head coach Rick Carlisle said that he doesn't see any reason why Samuel Dalembert "can't have a substantial impact" with the Mavs. "I don't see any reason why he can't have a substantial impact with his size and length," Carlisle said. "He's worked hard this summer to get himself into shape and he knows we're depending on him. But it's not just going to fall on one big guy." Dalembert is expected to start while up-and-comer Brandan Wright backs him up. Both Wright and Dalembert offer nice upside in the later rounds of drafts.
